This might be a mixed bag or it might just be politics, a look at Canada and Alberta and where we went wrong. I guess it depends on how long the politics take. Either way heads up, this won't have fun little nuggets like which games I am playing or some good issues to read...... Democracy or at least the art of democratic politics is dead and funnily enough it was killed by the parliamentary democracy government system. We still get to cast our votes, that is true but it has become whoever gets elected is more accountable to their party than to the population they are supposed to represent. There is a party whip now, someone who makes sure the MP or MLA tows the line for the party. People don't run on what is best for their riding but for the parties ideals. I keep saying the party with a very specific point. It is usually in authoritarian countries we have a "party" Glory to the Party!  I saw a tweet a few days ago that made me get to thinking about things "Is taking your kid to drag shows child abuse?" Referencing drag queen story time. Let me answer that. No, it really isn't. On the flip side, does it do anything good for your child? No, it doesn't, anyone taking a kid to a drag show also isn't doing them any good either. They are gaining nothing of value, other than maybe getting a good story read to them..... You're taking your children to drag shows for yourself, if you are honest. I read the tweets on this thread and they were all either "Its horrible!" or "Us non hateful people like going" Look at that simple line.  It doesn't say my child is getting A,B or C from going, no it says us none hateful people.  Gonna say this is a mixed bag some poli and some pop culture. You were warned Bad women, the ripper retold I briefly brought up in my podcast blog but I want to touch on it and society a bit more here. First off, ALL theories on Jack the Ripper are valid. NO wait that isn't 100% true, some are so out there they aren't HOWEVER researched ones are. Hallie Rubenhold doesn't believe that though and it does make me a bit sad. Honestly her pod is great, she does something that I personally never heard before. Telling us where these victims of Jack came from, humanizing them. That is good work and I applaud her. The issue I take is with her stubbornness as much as "ripperoligists" she doesn't agree with. She has a fresh new look on the Ripper murders and that is great but it does not disprove any old theories.  The murders are over 100 years old. I highly doubt anyone will ever solve them now.  3, I currently have 3 blogs half done NOT counting this one. So I aim to finish them, just been a lot going on with my head full of ideas and none flow together great. So this is a mixed bag... Lets time travel, to the late 80s, early 90s. I am a hockey nut. I love hockey cards, collect them all. Love spending hours outside playing hockey in front of the house winter or summer. I got a lot of butthurt here to deal with, so let's get this quick rant started. I don't particularly like Don Cherry, when coaches corner comes on I tend to go do anything from take a dump to make a snack. To me he is over rated, he isn't someone like Scotty Bowman. He isn't a Stanley Cup winning icon, but a guy who used goon hockey to win. BUT never won the big show! (Saying that I do know he has some record for most guys in a single season to break 20 goals) I just have never really seen him as more than a loud mouth. He called Crosby (Hard to admit this but probably the best player in the game) A hot dog. Well Duh old man, at that point he was a young superstar! Ovi almost made his head explode. He criticized Yakupov for something Theo Fleury did and he though was just fine (Cause Theo is Canadian). The fact is he is a dinosaur of a long gone era of hockey. Nothing wrong with that tough gritty style, but it is leaving. Sorry Don. So we just never saw eye to eye...
