Hockey players can be either douches or great guys. Let me tell you about some douches. We recently played a team all say 17 - 21 and they literally all looked like someone you would cast as the rich bully in a teen drama. They literally all would have been perfectly cast, except not like a muscled bully just a rich kid. They constantly chirped which is part of hockey but then back shit up when you shit talk, don't just scurry away, like rats. What really got me was they singled out a single player to try and pick on. Someone with some issues. If you have to "punch down" your a loser, you should be embarrassed. I am 5 foot fuck all and I take pride in battling guys way bigger than me. Hell I lose a lot but I cause them issues. Everyone on my team even says that, punching down I couldn't imagine. Plus they had 2 "coaches" on the bench. Guys my age, probably a couple dads I assume. Flat out WTF! Your in a rec league of ball hockey in the lowest or almost lowes...

I can still taste the bitter defeat from yesterday. When a very under preforming USA defeat Canada in the gold medal mens hockey game. No sports is never about who deserves it, in this case its about who gets the most goals and the states did but they did not deserve it!! 4 nations USA was scary, they played well. Olympics except for maybe 3 minutes in the first period they did not look like a pro team. They looked like beer leaguers against an NHL squad. However in a single game Hellebuyck should have won tournament MVP. 41 saves and .976 save %. Any other day and Canada wins that 4 or  5-1 for sure. Stopping breakaways by McDavid and Cellebrini. That save on Devon Toews is iconic and his stick stopping that will go down as an all time great hockey pic. Also Mackinnon forgetting his is one of the worlds elite players and shooting on an open net like I do is going to haunt him for a long time!! Not going to blame them but the reffing was awful. I guess counting too many men is hard...

Time to post this, I realize I started it a month or easily two months ago. A lot has happened over that time, so some of this is dated. It is easier to make quick entries like this right now so sadly for the next little bit I doubt I will be working on any travel blogs. The next two entries will be a two parter and MAYBE by the time they are up my life will be calmed down and I can get back to travel..... It is time for the X-Men to save the MCU. Ratings are down, we have super hero hangover even F4 didn't do amazing. Its time for the Phoenix Saga. They have tried with two terrible movies and it ended both X-Men runs. Time to do 20 movies like the Infinity Saga with Phoenix in the background until the final showdown with her as well, the villain. I want to see the original 5 in the first movie and yes Magneto as the villain. A few solo offshoot movies and Giant Sized X-Men is your first crossover. This might be a mixed bag or it might just be politics, a look at Canada and Alberta and where we went wrong. I guess it depends on how long the politics take. Either way heads up, this won't have fun little nuggets like which games I am playing or some good issues to read...... Democracy or at least the art of democratic politics is dead and funnily enough it was killed by the parliamentary democracy government system. We still get to cast our votes, that is true but it has become whoever gets elected is more accountable to their party than to the population they are supposed to represent. There is a party whip now, someone who makes sure the MP or MLA tows the line for the party. People don't run on what is best for their riding but for the parties ideals.  I saw a tweet a few days ago that made me get to thinking about things "Is taking your kid to drag shows child abuse?" Referencing drag queen story time. Let me answer that. No, it really isn't. On the flip side, does it do anything good for your child? No, it doesn't, anyone taking a kid to a drag show also isn't doing them any good either. They are gaining nothing of value, other than maybe getting a good story read to them..... You're taking your children to drag shows for yourself, if you are honest. I read the tweets on this thread and they were all either "Its horrible!" or "Us non hateful people like going" Look at that simple line.  It doesn't say my child is getting A,B or C from going, no it says us none hateful people.  Gonna say this is a mixed bag some poli and some pop culture. You were warned Bad women, the ripper retold I briefly brought up in my podcast blog but I want to touch on it and society a bit more here. First off, ALL theories on Jack the Ripper are valid. NO wait that isn't 100% true, some are so out there they aren't HOWEVER researched ones are. Hallie Rubenhold doesn't believe that though and it does make me a bit sad. Honestly her pod is great, she does something that I personally never heard before. Telling us where these victims of Jack came from, humanizing them. That is good work and I applaud her. The issue I take is with her stubbornness as much as "ripperoligists" she doesn't agree with. She has a fresh new look on the Ripper murders and that is great but it does not disprove any old theories.  The murders are over 100 years old. I highly doubt anyone will ever solve them now.
