 3, I currently have 3 blogs half done NOT counting this one. So I aim to finish them, just been a lot going on with my head full of ideas and none flow together great. So this is a mixed bag... Lets time travel, to the late 80s, early 90s. I am a hockey nut. I love hockey cards, collect them all. Love spending hours outside playing hockey in front of the house winter or summer. My fav team should have been the Oilers in Northern Alberta right? Wrong I went by my hockey cards and liked Detroit. They had these 2 young superstars Lidstrom and Fedorov. Plus some guy named Stevie was the captain. For a few years I was big into hockey, then about high school I stopped really caring. They were just jocks, lame. Of course this was the time the Wings were unbeatable and it would have been way better to be a loud and proud fan....I moved to Edmonton and was surrounded by Oiler fans and still didn't care.  Too much on the go! I dunno why, well I do I just started doing too much and not doing what I should. I have said to myself for like 3 months now FOCUS! My list has been Blog, Write, Read, Hockey, Comics, Family Tree, Work trips, Try and do yard stuff and garden. Oh plus keep up on TV and such! I know it is a first world problem but man I barely seem to have time to try and finish the things I want to do. So I set my mind on a plan. A real plan. I am going to come up with 5 or 6 blogs over the next week. The release them a week or two apart and that SHOULD fill my need to blog. Plus that should cover like 2 / 3 months of blogging. I have a submission guide for a comic company and I want to get a couple submissions off in that time! Once those are done I am going to work solely on editing a a story and finishing another. I got a lot of butthurt here to deal with, so let's get this quick rant started. I don't particularly like Don Cherry, when coaches corner comes on I tend to go do anything from take a dump to make a snack. To me he is over rated, he isn't someone like Scotty Bowman. He isn't a Stanley Cup winning icon, but a guy who used goon hockey to win. BUT never won the big show! (Saying that I do know he has some record for most guys in a single season to break 20 goals) I just have never really seen him as more than a loud mouth. He called Crosby (Hard to admit this but probably the best player in the game) A hot dog. Well Duh old man, at that point he was a young superstar! Ovi almost made his head explode. He criticized Yakupov for something Theo Fleury did and he though was just fine (Cause Theo is Canadian). The fact is he is a dinosaur of a long gone era of hockey. Nothing wrong with that tough gritty style, but it is leaving. Sorry Don. So we just never saw eye to eye...

So we got stomped again. Twice now we have been mercied. I am sitting on my single assist. So no I am not super happy with my own playing. I guess I shouldn't be too hard on myself. The fact is I am eligible to play in legends league. The old man league. I am being schooled by guys literally 20 years younger, that played hockey growing up. It is just hard to swallow in a fun league I can't seem to get a few points a game. I can face the facts, I was never "good" per say, even in fun league. Not like some people. Cook, The Frenchman, Candy (If you read my old blogs) but I could put up some points. I did in a crazy lucky game get 7 goals. Now I got 18 games and get 1 assist. It is getting harder to swallow! That's my whiny rant on that. Like I know it is supposed to be to get in shape and yes it does help with my blood for diabetes but it does sting the pride a bit So I want to get back into comics. Started June off with a holiday! Or a mini one in Calgary. See I have been gone a ton the last few weeks, so it was a nice plan by the wife to get a couple days alone. We left bright and early-ish on Monday morning. I played Red Dead for a bit if I am honest. Starbucks and we were on the go. The fact is highway 2 is a nice drive. Dual lanes, flat and straight so we were in Cowtown in a few hours. I don't know how people did it without GPS. I mean I love looking at maps but as for using them to drive in a big city... I would go nuts. But we got to the zoo with no mishaps.... Anyway I have to say this place kicks ass over Edmonton Zoo. I loved it! Everything is well done. Its clean and has sooooo many good exhibits. I mean yes I think we were there for only 3 hours but one could do a lot more! I gotta say I loved the pandas, bears and wolves. Monkeys not my thing for some reason and the lions never move! It was cool, one tiger was roaming. After that we headed to the hotel. Again...
