March Random thoughts!

Who would ever believe the that the Russians would win the Cold War? It seemed like we had them, the USSR broke apart but years later they still snuck in the win. The biggest thing would be who could imagine it would be a US president that handed them the win? That a president would distance himself from his oldest allies and back Russia. I can only imagine the men and women who died, who spent their entire lives fighting this war only to see a draft dodger let the Russians win.  They have to be rolling over in their graves. What's worse is so called Conservatives cheering him on. I don't know if I am more scared or sad. Scared about how stupid we have become as a society. That we now cheer for something we fought for decades. Or sad we have, hopefully only temporarily lost one of our greatest allies. I get it, Ukraine has been given a lot of money. If things are to be believed a lot of it seems to have just vanished & yes it is fishy how Zelenskyy is seeming to be a dictat...

Populism and Social Media. Oh and the draft dodger.

Another quick entry, a break from my other writing for a current issue. Well, it is an issue that will continue for four more years. donnie trump is president again, why for fuck sakes?! We had him and Joe B, then Kamala snuck in, and this is the best USA had to offer for president? I saw a meme saying this is great; it is like watching the Fall of Rome but with Wifi, and god damn if that doesn't feel correct.  First, to 93% of trump supporters, you have nothing in common with him. While he sure paints himself as though he has you in mind, he doesn't. He is a grifter and jumped on the angry middle-American demographic. A LOT of people felt unheard. As we can see, every minority group gets special "days," "weeks," or even "months," and it isn't hard to understand where the frustration came from. I am not about to dive too deep into it; that's a blog or two on its own, but I can say as an average white, middle-aged, middle-class male, I unde...

Novembers Random Thoughts

So these random thought posts will not be edited. They might be hard to read, just a heads up and it might drive down views. Not that I get all that many.... Just saying. While I have been working on other writings and actually enjoying it. In general staying off social media, some days though when I just don't feel like writing I pop a random thought down. So no moving forward most of these random posts won't be well thought out, just random ideas about the world and my life. I don't want to spend more than an hour on them.  One of the better mottos is life, see below..... Trump won the election, I cannot say I am surprised. Kamala had no appeal to the common person. I hate to say it but she appealed to the rich celebs and to people in fear of another Trump presidency. That is never going to win. On the flip side how did a felon with no actual value win? The only thing I will say is the same thing I have said for the last 2 elections. Really?? These are the two best in a ...

Random July Pop Culture and Thoughts

SO school has been insane. I dont really have time to blog but I do need a break now and then, so this is a quick one on lunches and coffees when I am not doing school shit. It is a mix of a few things that have been on my mind and a bit of pop culture. Sorry if it is edited for shit and hard to read.... Who are you? Who do you wanna be? Do you ever think about that shit? Events in my life made me think about it. Strangely enough I am taking marketing right now and since a lot of psychology (kind of scary that marketers want in your head) is in it, my school brought up the same question. For example it can broken down into 3 parts. What do you want in life, what are your goals and dreams. Second what are you values and morals and last what is your lifestyle? I NEVER really thought about that kind of stuff and I wonder how many people actually do. I have always just lived and done things somewhat impulsive. Bit of back story, roughly 18 years ago my dad was a sales rep for an oil compan...

Columbine, 9/11 & the last great decade.

So I started listening to the Lights Out podcast and I will state I really like it. I mentioned it before an they still are in my top pods, so I don't want this to come off as an attack. Also it ties in perfectly with something I had been thinking recently, the 90s was the last great decade... Ill tie those together in a bit but Ill start with what I didn't like or don't agree with and that was some comments on the Columbine Massacre episode of Lights Out.  Also this is total filler, I do have a series of blogs I want to get done but they do take sometime and some thinking. I am currently wrapping up my last of school and work trips, then I am going to work hard on them but this kind of just popped into my mind driving and listening to pods... I think the hosts are a bit younger than me, I was in grade 12 in 1999 when it happened. Literally being the grad class that year was insane because of what happened there and I don't think people younger truly understand how muc...
