Again, this is in a series of travel blogs; if you read this, you may want to read the others first. Have already put up travel basics and a few days in Paris.   Religion is possibly the best and the worst of all of humanity's creations. I am sure I could do some Google research and find out when the first noted religion existed, but I am not about to do that. The first caveman that made up a story about why the sun rises and sets was probably a religion. I am sure an all-mighty god of some sort did it. In the beginning, religion was great; it still can be. It gives people a reason for why things happen, and there is mental security in that. It can be all wrong, but it still provides what people need: reason, belief, faith. It also gave meaning and support. When a Viking died, he went to Valhalla to sit with his ancestors, not just rot in the ground. There is a beauty in that. I have to say this article started June 26th. A lot of things came up and I didn't get it printed until now so some is dated BUT that doesn't change how I feel on this topic. So let's start off with my position on religion. I don't mind it, it isn't for me, but people seem to find strength and solace in it. SO all the power to them. Now my biggest issues comes with organized religion. It is just like people. A person is smart, a group is dumb. Same concept applies. A person can worship god whenever, wherever. Or that is what I have been told, it doesn't have to be in a church. So a person by themselves can be smart, church.... Now you have god involved and devotion to that will make people do AWFUL things. I am not saying that just for Catholics but ALL religions. So that's how I feel about that. I started me versus school round 2. I dunno if it was fair cause well I was doing the same stuff. Here is what was funny though. I handed in the same unedited essays to my new professor, the ones doctor whore face said were terrible and he disagreed. The grammar and shit was garbage but I had a very strong "voice".
