Friday was a bad day for humanity. I had to stay off twitter, (NO that's not why it was a bad day! I don't have that big an ego) I felt anything I posted would be read wrong or my point wouldn't come across as I wanted it to. Also I didn't have the time to argue with both Social Justice Warriors and Right Wing Nuts. I do have a real job! So here is a loose blog, it isn't straight forward and planned just my thoughts on the Christ Church Massacre First the shooter is a sick person. To live stream something like this is hopefully something none of us understand. There are some deep issues and this person is the villain. Second the people there are the victims, no one else. Lets stop trying to bring this into our Canadian politics. I still don't support M103 and never, ever will. I am not about to get into a long winded blog about that. I did when it came out. Ahh that lovely time every few years when we see the worst in all people is upon us! That's right elections are coming! The brutal truth is both federally and provincially we are going to see shit get nasty. From both sides, let's not pretend anyone is innocent. This is all I am going to say on politics for awhile, at least until elections OR if something crazy happens. I really need to concentrate on actual writing. Not twitter bickering with people. So here is it my thoughts on the current federal and provincial politics. (Breaking this into 2 parts. This one is going to be just media and Alberta) First let's start with the sideliners. It is painful for me to see more and more this country of ours divided. I don't know how it got this way, well I do have an unpopular theory. Wanna hear it? I assume since your reading this you do..... We the majority were assholes. For years minorities were treated like shit. Lets just refer to most of us a old white men. We didn't like "queers", we didn't like different skin colours, we really didn't like other religions. SO I said I wasn't going to blog for a bit cause I was pouring all my time into finishing a manuscript. I lied. Not on purpose but I find it is easier to take a break just rant a bit and then get back at 'er. SO here is just some unedited fluff of the last few weeks. Everyone has heard about the Humboldt Broncos tragedy. I am not going to say much about it, what more can you?? I read it could be used as a Canadian fiction tragedy. All these young hockey players cut down before their lives even began. And yet it is fiction, it happened. It was terrible. Lets talk about the aftermath. I am gonna start this with a bit of random praise! The Witcher series is amazing! The books which started the whole thing are so well written. If you are into fantasy I would go buy them right now. Start with the short stories and then move on to the actual series. Fantasy mixed with morality, very well done. Then came the games, Witcher 3 is probably my favorite game of all time. Crazy good. Replacing maybe Mafia 3 which has fack all for replayablity. Is that a word??? Or GTA 4. Just a heads up to telltale games the new Batman is also not that great. I mean it ain't terrible but I expected more. My brother also bought me NHL 2018. This game pisses me off. I am the top point getter in the league but still sent to the AHL. Like really?? As the world burns, everyone is getting more and more divided. Charlottesville is the perfect example of that. First off I have to say this was started oh weeks ago at least, when it was more relevant. Right now the world is centered on Manchester. (And now London) As it should be.
