Who would ever believe the that the Russians would win the Cold War? It seemed like we had them, the USSR broke apart but years later they still snuck in the win. The biggest thing would be who could imagine it would be a US president that handed them the win? That a president would distance himself from his oldest allies and back Russia. I can only imagine the men and women who died, who spent their entire lives fighting this war only to see a draft dodger let the Russians win.  They have to be rolling over in their graves. What's worse is so called Conservatives cheering him on. I don't know if I am more scared or sad. Scared about how stupid we have become as a society. That we now cheer for something we fought for decades. Or sad we have, hopefully only temporarily lost one of our greatest allies. I get it, Ukraine has been given a lot of money. If things are to be believed a lot of it seems to have just vanished & yes it is fishy how Zelenskyy is seeming to be a dictat...

Breaking my own rules real quick, this will be a real quick blog. Something happened last Friday and last weekend and it bugged me and it points out so many issues that I just gotta rant! I will touch on a few things "News Media" and journalism, social media, a little politics, Edmonton, gun control, the justice system and racism. Not really edited so sorry if it isn't the easiest read. Start with YEG wave, anyone else know who that is? I'll pretend you don't. They claim to be #1 in Alberta Culture and Entertainment pages. I personally found them because they have had news up on Edmonton way before the mainstream does. A quick scroll shows maybe it isn't culture they are into but crime and politics. I have seen them called racist online, that of course isn't true, let me explain. A view of their page and you can tell they are right leaning for sure. However nothing they post has been untrue.  The Olympics started. I remember when it was a big deal, grandpa recording it, like all of it on a massive VHS set. I still pay a bit of attention to the winter games but summer. Not so much. I am just going to go into the opening ceremonies for a second. I am not even religious, but man mocking Christians is the thing to do these days?? Look back over the last 20 years of opening ceremonies and you have some awesome shows. This was a shit show. Drag queens enacting The Last Supper. Then online I see clowns saying "Oh its not the last supper, its the feast of Dionysus and it is about the Greeks starting the games" No its not. Put those two paintings side by side with the ceremony and it is clearly the Last Supper. I can guarantee you wouldn't see them mocking Islam in an Islamic nation putting on the games. It has become a fucking joke. I did read someone try and say it was representing French art and culture. I could almost believe that, except it was painted by and Ita...

 I really wanted to get back to the series of blogs I have been trying to write. I am very close to being done my next couple entries but shit just keeps popping up. Somethings just blow my mind and the current failure of the Canadian justice system (once again) is making me rant! Again we see a tragic domestic situation, where a common law husband Kenneth Skelly, murders his common law wife. I am not even getting into that part of this story, but into Skelly father Joe. If you haven't heard the story Kenny murders his wife and takes her body to his dads house. I guess dad has a drinking problem and is drunk when son arrives. Son says "Hey dad, killed my wife what should we do?" Guess she has some distinct tattoos and they don't want her ID'd. So the brain trust decides, lets chop her up! What in the fuck is wrong with these people! Your kid comes to you with a body and you help chop it up??? For some context daddy was an ex butcher and he used an axe, boning knif...

Whatever you are doing right now, stop it. Grab a tall glass of water and chug it. 60% of human bodies are water. Most people don't get enough water in them in a day!! I'm seeing more people with big water bottles to remind them to drink. I have one, but I still need to get more into me. This is purely my opinion, but water, sleep, and HEALTHY food are the three best things for people. When someone is hungry, thirsty, or tired, they will not nearly perform as well as they usually would. That is a personal side note. I will get into it more, but we must take better care of ourselves. Those three things are a fundamental start. Get more sleep, healthy sleep. Don't drink to pass out; that sleep isn't restful. I mean the sleep you get after a long, hard day. Get more water, and I know it is hard, and you may end up peeing more BUT drink that damn water. Eat better! I am a person who eats out a lot, cooks at home a lot, and is used to eating fast food a lot. Greasy fast food...

So I think this is my last entry for the year of 2023 that won't be in the series I have started. All it will take is a quick read and some of this was started a month ago, or more. I am going to concentrate on those other blogs and maybe be done them by the end of the year, sorry if some of this is really not relevant anymore! 337 years... That's at least how long my family has been in North America. Or at least the the part of my family whose surname I still use. The other part of me, well we have been in Canada forever, Ojibway. Anyways what I got from doing family tree research was it would have been my great (X9) grandfather that came here way back in 1686, Jebus. I found out for a few generations we were in Philly and then moved to New Jersey... Thank god we moved outta there. Then into Ontario, again thank god we moved to Alberta some time between 1896 and 1910. A lot of Jacobs, Lewis' and Daniels in the tree. The hard thing to tell is are they Irish or British they ...
