Too much on the go! I dunno why, well I do I just started doing too much and not doing what I should. I have said to myself for like 3 months now FOCUS! My list has been Blog, Write, Read, Hockey, Comics, Family Tree, Work trips, Try and do yard stuff and garden. Oh plus keep up on TV and such! I know it is a first world problem but man I barely seem to have time to try and finish the things I want to do. So I set my mind on a plan. A real plan. I am going to come up with 5 or 6 blogs over the next week. The release them a week or two apart and that SHOULD fill my need to blog. Plus that should cover like 2 / 3 months of blogging. I have a submission guide for a comic company and I want to get a couple submissions off in that time! Once those are done I am going to work solely on editing a a story and finishing another. All my writing in a row.... Then Family tree I think is simply a lunch time project. I can do it at work and right now it seems almost as done as I can get it. I m...

Almost Xmas

I Yoga'd! I want a bumper sticker that says that. Okay it wasn't the first time. I had done "relaxation" yoga before. I enjoyed it, There wasn't much to it, ground poses and a lot of time to think This new one was kind of the same. Slightly more intense. Plus much warmer and not even so called hot yoga. Like the Butterfly pose. Wow it pointed out I have old man hips. It still had a lot of laying on the ground. Internalizing. But with other lower body poses. Ones that told me yes you need to stretch more. I am at a loss though, when they tell you to relax your mind what the goal is. Maybe my mind is too relaxed, with TV, books, video games, writing. I don't sit and worry too much until I need to. Laying there trying to think of nothing, literally crowded my mind with everything. So for the general relaxing part of it not so sure... BUT the actual workout of it ya, I give to yoga people kudos. There is work there, the few poses we did I could feel in my so calle...

Disney / Universal trip!

This time I am not breaking our trip out into each day, I have been here 3 times now. But a brief summary, is a nice easy blog. When we landed in LA it was 32 degrees, just after 3 PM. I love it here! The driving service picked us up again. One time we had Dre the super talky guy, this guy was quiet until we started talking to him. He had been part of an MC, wonder if he would have had some good stories for us.... Soon as we checked in we rushed to the park to exchange our vouchers for tickets so we wouldn't have to do that tomorrow AM and waste time. So as we are rushing there we get stopped in the street by a chubby little black duded with a back pack. He was all "give me love" and huggy and in the personal space. Then he went on about getting out of the gang life and how he was raising money for a community centre in Compton. I gave him $10 for a chocolate bar that was melty (I planned on chucking it anyway) And we carried on to the park. Now this is what the world has...

2014 and beyond

January 17th 2014, currently was my last move. For anyone keeping score that is 14 moves in the 14 years I had lived in Edmonton. This time I moved to St. Albert. Also KTs was the single longest place I had lived anywhere in the last 14 years, so it was sad to go lotsa good memories there. On the bright side it was a crazy warm day for January. Like plus 10. The Frenchman, Bud and Diablo helped me move. Had a bit of a headache, the night before Tats had friends over that were in the living room until late. So even later Diablo came upstairs and we had a couple drinks and a last couple games of NHL hockey. But the day came and we were done early in the afternoon again. We did the normal thing and BBQd burgers and bought a flat of beer as she had some helpers too. However it wasn't like some of my moves. No one got super hammered, only Bud was actually there late. It didn't take long for me to be replaced. Only a week or two something unexpected happened. Bud moved into KTs. He...

2016 all wrapped up

So another year has come to an end. I am 35 now. Which doesn't mean much except the start of a beer belly from a year of not as much activity as I should have had. Not a shit ton changed in my life. Still work the same job at the same place. Live in the same house and drive the same old truck. Still didn't publish ANYTHING! My thoughts on Channillo changed. I mean I might move my blog that no one reads over there. If people wanna pay a monthly fee and read it well I am okay with that. And if it fails I can always come back to this free site. I did finally get Netflix this December! Fritzin Fritz that is the shit! I also joined the modern world and got an X Box ! This was a great idea. First big shout out to Tell Tale Games. Love Wolf Among Us, Game of Thrones and the New Batman awesome! The Xbox 1 also boosts new NHL games which a slick. And I finally got a game in the Mafia Series. Like the story more than the new Grand Theft but GTA is still king of crime games. We had a coup...

Return To Disneyland

Back in Disneyland so I figured I should do a blog or two on it.  SO first let’s just go with the rides. Top few in no real order is this. Indiana Jones, this actually might be Number 1. It is the shit. It has speed a story some good twists and turns and surprise drops. It is good. Pirates is another good one. It isn’t really fast it does have a couple good drops though. But it is a decent length and has some pretty sweet visuals. The Haunted Mansion is a good one. It is also a decent length and has good visuals. Plus it changes at Halloween to tell the Nightmare before Christmas. Jungle Cruise is cool to. This time my favorite ride Splash Mountain was down L Peter Pans flight is sweet, kinda kiddie still BUT the flying is cool. Matterhorn is great. The speed and turns are great. I aint gonna lie there isn’t as much in California Adventure I like. But what I do like is great!! Like Cars is amazing. Toy Story even though I constantly lose is also wicked. I really like Soarin and i...

30 day Writing Challenge #30 Something I am looking forward to

DISNEY!! Of all the challenges this one is easiest to write. Cause I know exactly what I am looking forward to. The return to Disneyland. Come this fall I will be going back for a second time. I am 35 and cant wait to go!!! I first went last year, 33 and thinking I was heading to a gloried K-days where I might see some characters. Damn was I wrong! We had booked 4 days and I thought it would be too much. How long can you stay in the Kingdom a mouse built?? I will never ever doubt you again Mickey. First off I love Cali. And I love L.A. Just landing at LAX gets me pumped. Anytime I get to fly anywhere I am happy! Pac said it. I love L.A It is the happiest place on Earth. The customer service is the best in the world, the employees work their hardest to make it that way. One night my fiance had a blister on her foot. A park worker went and found her a band aid. When she said she was going to do that I didn't actually think she would be back! Any place with that great of custom...

2015

One day when people look back and want to know what 2015 was like. This here will be my take on it! It may or may not be "correct" but here is a small part of my understanding of the last year. Some Random Events - Greece went broke, how a whole country does that I dunno. Ireland made same sex marriage legal! Good job you drunken bastards! The US supreme court followed that up to. Baltimore had riots when yet another person died in police custody. Yes these incidents should be looked into. Police are not above the law. But if you are looting you're part of the problem. After another tragic shooting, the south was forced to take down confederate flags. Really?! Cause that will eliminate bigotry. Alberta is reactionary - Straight up my beloved province is reactionary. Lets be honest, the PC Alberta government was at worst a fat bloated over self indulgent beast. At best it was a government letting Alberta be Alberta. They needed to go and that ass Jim Prentice made sure...
