30 day Writing Challenge #30 Something I am looking forward to

DISNEY!! Of all the challenges this one is easiest to write. Cause I know exactly what I am looking forward to. The return to Disneyland. Come this fall I will be going back for a second time. I am 35 and cant wait to go!!!

I first went last year, 33 and thinking I was heading to a gloried K-days where I might see some characters. Damn was I wrong! We had booked 4 days and I thought it would be too much. How long can you stay in the Kingdom a mouse built?? I will never ever doubt you again Mickey.

First off I love Cali. And I love L.A. Just landing at LAX gets me pumped. Anytime I get to fly anywhere I am happy! Pac said it. I love L.A

It is the happiest place on Earth.

The customer service is the best in the world,the employees work their hardest to make it that way. One night my fiance had a blister on her foot. A park worker went and found her a band aid. When she said she was going to do that I didn't actually think she would be back! Any place with that great of customer service I wanna go back!!

The rides YO! I mean it is the centre piece of a whole theme park but the rides are amazing. Yes some are slow and made for kids BUT the ones that aren't are crazy good! Even were you line up is great. No effort was left out to make the rides amazing!

The other stuff is awesome to. You can take a train around the whole park. There is random singing, you can go to shows. Last time we were there the late night Mad Tea Party was amazing! The game on the boardwalk. There is literally something you can be doing at all times and it doesn't have to be waiting for a ride.....

Another thing is the food and drinks. I don't mean the hot dog stands. I don't mean pizza or pop that is way overpriced! I meaning eating in some place like The Blue Bayou or downtown Disney. Some of the little lounges there are amazing. Plus I can have a med rare burger. Canada needs to get those!!

So that is it, those are the reason I am looking forward to my return to Disney!

Edmonton / Highway of Tears

This was going to be a small paragraph in a bigger random blog but it grew really fast and the fact is I thought it was rather interesting so it will be post of its own. Alberta Politics Pre 2019 election

Ahh that lovely time every few years when we see the worst in all people is upon us! That's right elections are coming! The brutal truth is both federally and provincially we are going to see shit get nasty. From both sides, let's not pretend anyone is innocent. This is all I am going to say on politics for awhile, at least until elections OR if something crazy happens. I really need to concentrate on actual writing. Not twitter bickering with people. So here is it my thoughts on the current federal and provincial politics. (Breaking this into 2 parts. This one is going to be just media and Alberta) First let's start with the sideliners. The media and the peanut gallery. Rebel Media OR Chicken little media. Whichever you want to call them is fine by me. It has been years now I was blocked for using common sense or not drinking the Kool-aid by Ezzie and the Rebel account. Part 3 Addiction

So, I have stated first, we need the correct systems in place, and second, we need healthy citizens for a better society. One of the root problems in society, though, is addiction. A mental health problem that can lead to so much more. Family violence, crime, homelessness, job loss, and on and on. There is no cure for addiction. There is management, and there are many things we can do much better to help addicts and society. So, let's tackle this one next.  I like drinking! I like the taste of a good whiskey or red wine. Or the supposed "no taste" of good vodka. I like that little boost of confidence that tells me, hell ya, you can dance! Or the fact that, yes, after a long day, it does take an edge off. I have a ton of great memories of times when booze was around... The flip side of that is I'm not too fond of hangovers.
