The Briar Patch

I was bothered by an article I read on huffington post the other day. Not having kids sing the anthem in school. To me this is going too far, with social justice or whatever you want to call in now. I had to sing it in the morning, didn't hurt me. I get taking the lords prayer out. We had to say that, "back in the day" Now there are so many people of different religions that maybe it has become inappropriate, I can give you that. HOWEVER why take away the anthem? Are we not all Canadian? People talk about lacking Canadian identity and we want to take away our national song? They claimed it is hyper nationalist. And? We should take pride in our nation. NO it doesn't say everything is good and nothing bad. Why would you write a song trying to instill national pride with the bad in it? So I have yet to win the lotto, gonna say that sucks. Still not rich and still have to go to work. Maybe it is western alienation but why are the lottos always won out east? Old Korn rocks, listening to their first album as I write. So whats new in my life? Well thanks for asking. I turned 34. without much for bells and whistles. I find as I get older my birthday means less. I mean when your a kid its great. Presents, parties, cakes. From like 18 to 31, it was all about the party. Be it in a bar, a strip club or even at the lake birthdays meant hangovers. Now a nice dinner out and a quiet fire is enough. I have been back from Disney for a month and I miss the hell outta it. That was a fackin fun trip! So as I get rich I will be back there. My insano neighbour asked for 24 hours notice before I have backyard fires. I am tempted to have 1 every night now. My mind is working on 3 stories. Well 2 stories and a comic. The first issue of the comic is almost done just needs typed and maybe I could for once try to submit something. So 2014 is over, I guess now is as good a time as any to put out there what I liked in T.V this year. First off it was sad to see Sons leave TV. From the first season, when I bought a reaper crew hat and was almost in a fight in a bar over my "gang" hat to Jax driving Johns bike into a semi it was a helluva show. I do think it changed in season 4. It does become much darker and violent but i do think that was Mr. Sutters vision. It is one of the only shows I can say never had a dull season. There was more than enough prison rape though... Also first show i hate Donal in.Hoping Kurt Sutter has as much luck with his next show.... Boardwalk Empire! How did it become the final season and how did I not know it was on until the finale!! Nucky was the guy I loved to hate. Cosmic justice Jimmys kid took him out. I did also like that most of it wrapped up nice and it did stick to reality. I thought it coulda went on more but either way it was great. True blood, about frickin time....
