I lied, it is clear I wont have a chance to get back to a travel blog this year 2025. Hell it might be 2026 before this is even up! So ending on some more random thoughts. Mostly unedited and well for real last one like this I am doing for a month. At least. New goal for 2026 travel blog out every 2 weeks until last trip is done. Want it to be done before I go to Spain this year!! Oh I am posting this January 2nd. A big chunk right in the middle is Stranger Things with some massive spoilers if you haven't watched final season be warned.  Hockey ended shitty. We finished 3rd in our div. For once it felt like the right div, winning as much as losing. We got a wild card round Bye, then quarter final single game elimination we played a team with only 2 wins. One we handled easily BUT no one showed up. Not figuratively, really. We had a tiny bench and they beat us. The legit season we could have made a good playoff run we lost. This blog took way to long. I don't even know the start date but an entire ball hockey season has happened since I started. The longest season of the year. So I am just going to post this. Sorry if it isn't well edited or has dated rants. I think I am done doing this kind of blog. I am actually enjoying blogging about a trip so I think that will be what I mainly do. If I am honest lately I feel like I have been spinning my wheels. Work, writing, failing in hockey. Haven't been doing school for a long time, I guess I feel like maybe I need a reset. Set some priorities and stick to them. SO in general writing I am focusing on one thing. School I am getting back into and work, well I guess I need to be hungry again, get that drive back. Not that anyone came here for my political insights or takes on pop culture. So I guess this is it for a bit, my last rants. Who would ever believe the that the Russians would win the Cold War? It seemed like we had them, the USSR broke apart but years later they still snuck in the win. The biggest thing would be who could imagine it would be a US president that handed them the win? That a president would distance himself from his oldest allies and back Russia. I can only imagine the men and women who died, who spent their entire lives fighting this war only to see a draft dodger let the Russians win.  They have to be rolling over in their graves. What's worse is so called Conservatives cheering him on. I don't know if I am more scared or sad. Scared about how stupid we have become as a society. That we now cheer for something we fought for decades. Or sad we have, hopefully only temporarily lost one of our greatest allies. I get it, Ukraine has been given a lot of money. November and December are my busiest months by far. I assume December is for a lot of people with Xmas parties, real Xmas, shopping for Xmas. I get all that plus I travel for work for 4 weeks roughly plus have to see all my local customers. I am not complaining, I love my job and these trips are pretty good. Most guys aren't super into work, mostly talk about the holidays and have a nice meal as a thanks for the business! Plus my family lives 500KMS away so at some point make that drive and spend a couple days at home. Again not complaining it is all good but ya it does take it out of a guy! So I got that all done and came home and slept solid for 9 hours. Doesn't sound like a lot but my Fitbit told me 87% sleep score, usually hit a 75 and usually get lucky if it is 7 hours of sleep. So I guess I was tired, New Years next week but I am not doing anything crazy for that!!! I guess what I am saying is between all that I kind of fell behind on what I wanted to write. I am putting the Last of Us part 1&2 as a single paragraph. Not because they aren't great but because, in reality, they are short! The fact is 2 is the reason this blog came into existence. There was a debate I saw online. Was Ellie right, or is Abby right? I am gonna weigh in on that. Neither is right! Both of them get all murdery and both of them suffer for it. That's the whole point of game 2. Personally, I am an Ellie supporter. Of course, that is because of game 1. You play as Joel, and it is so well written that you start to grow attached to Ellie. So, of course, when someone brutally murders Joel, you gonna want revenge. Game 2 gives a different view; if you had been Abby or her father in game 1, we would have wanted revenge against them! Some strangers come and kill all your friends and murder your father; we would be rooting for Abby. It is legitimately the exact same thing that happened to Ellie.
