I lied, it is clear I wont have a chance to get back to a travel blog this year 2025. Hell it might be 2026 before this is even up! So ending on some more random thoughts. Mostly unedited and well for real last one like this I am doing for a month. At least. New goal for 2026 travel blog out every 2 weeks until last trip is done. For once it felt like the right div, winning as much as losing. We got a wild card round Bye, then quarter final single game elimination we played a team with only 2 wins. SO I said I wasn't going to blog for a bit cause I was pouring all my time into finishing a manuscript. I lied. Not on purpose but I find it is easier to take a break just rant a bit and then get back at 'er. SO here is just some unedited fluff of the last few weeks. Everyone has heard about the Humboldt Broncos tragedy. I am not going to say much about it, what more can you?? I read it could be used as a Canadian fiction tragedy. All these young hockey players cut down before their lives even began. And yet it is fiction, it happened. It was terrible. Lets talk about the aftermath. First what are they doing with the $15 million raised??? I hope it is used for good things. January 17th 2014, currently was my last move. For anyone keeping score that is 14 moves in the 14 years I had lived in Edmonton. This time I moved to St. Albert. Also KTs was the single longest place I had lived anywhere in the last 14 years, so it was sad to go lotsa good memories there. On the bright side it was a crazy warm day for January. Like plus 10. The Frenchman, Bud and Diablo helped me move. Had a bit of a headache, the night before Tats had friends over that were in the living room until late. So even later Diablo came upstairs and we had a couple drinks and a last couple games of NHL hockey. But the day came and we were done early in the afternoon again. We did the normal thing and BBQd burgers and bought a flat of beer as she had some helpers too. However it wasn't like some of my moves. No one got super hammered, only Bud was actually there late. Dogs are funny. They cannot communicate with a hello but they have mastered that simply with a look. They can tell you when they are hungry, have to use the washroom or when they just wanna play. They are more loyal than almost any human I have ever met. When you are sick they come to cuddle. I am not sure what humanity has done to deserve dogs. Cats I get why we have them. They are evil. They show no loyalty. They expect that they can shit in a box and you will clean it up.  Most of them don't come over for cuddles. They are the exact opposite of mans best friend. I had a friend say to me once, lock your wife and your dog in a trunk. When you open it a few hours later who is happy to see you? Pretty sure you know the answer. On top of that you can train them to do anything and they are happy to do it. To put there life on the line for humans. How many people can say they do that? They are just a great animal.
