 I will be up front, I hate the liberal party and I am pretty sure Justin Trudeau is literally the WORST PM Canada has ever had. I am not going to rant though strictly out of my dislike for these clowns but out of facts and how they continue to fail at every turn. Honestly I don't know how or why there are still liberal voters and JT fans....  So recently I finished Indian in the Cabinet by Jody Wilson Raybold. Loved it. Not just cause it shows how sleazy the libs are but it is a great look at Canadian politics overall. First the party system, first past the post is screwed.  Its that time again. We need to pick our fearless leader for the next few years. Let me be 100% honest, I love democracy. There literally isn't a better system, what I don't like is our broken democracy. Not that I don't like it actually, I think it needs tweeked. Before I start let me give you a bit of a back story on this. I saw a post on social media the other day. It was a map of the Canadian provinces. There was a line drawn between Ontario and the East with the West and the North on the other side. With the comment, until this changes nothing changes. It showed the East having 231 seats and the West and North only having 107. The implication is the East really has the power and out here we really don't matter. Its that lovely season. No I don't mean fall., though it is that too and it is way too cold in Edmonton these days. Its election season. The worse season of all. I took time to watch part of one debate. Of course I have paid attention on social media and we as a people have hit a new low. It isn't about party or even policy anymore. It has become personal attacks, many of which make high school kids look mature. That's sad, there is no other word for it. The fact is it is down to a two party system really. Cons and Libs. While the NDP has some voters, I am fairly certain they will never form a government, same as the greens. Wow it has been a longgggg time since I blogged. I didn't realize my last one really was the end of summer rant. I have 2 half started blogs which my goal is to have finished this week and up plus I have got a ton of writing on my novel done but I should take a break and get back at this hence I ain't dead! The federal election has started, longest campaign ever or some shit. Another Harper conspiracy. Just putting out there the left has nothing but conspiracies. So I am gonna quickly break down each party or at least the parties that matter! But before that lets have a quick look at the problems with our system over all. It is becoming more and more this is about people and not the parties or platforms. How can we fix that and make the federal government about the country and not the parties.
