Edmonton City Centre and police

 Every month I donate to a local animal charity, as I like animals much more than people. However I also choose 1 random charity to donate to as well. Something I feel is important, 12 charities randomly important to me, a year. NOW this isn't 100% altruistic. I do get to feel good doing something & there is a benefit at tax time. Fun fact I miss when rich people actually donated their money to decent causes instead of doing a rich guy space race. In true capitalism the wealthy were supposed to donate to keep society going and government was to back off and not have to tax as much because those who could help would. Seems like all "thinkers" they forgot to think about human greed. This little side rant is just saying IF more people who could gave a little more maybe the world would be a better place?? All the right wing nuts saying down with big government and taxes.... Did you ever think about this?? Truth and reconciliation, the pope coming all this I think is kind ...

Pope & MMIWG

 Couple things to lay down here before I go into my short rant. I am not religious, in fact the quote below in my mind almost describes how I feel to a tee. HOWEVER saying that I do believe there is something, a higher power that created the world. Or at least started evolution... Be it the Catholic god, the Muslim god. Odin, Zeus, the Great Spirit. I really don't know. I am not getting into deeper beliefs on religion, gods, fate. Any of those things that could turn into a long tangent I am simply going to talk on the Pope being here. I just want it stated I am not Catholic. I am Metis, I have great uncles who did attend residential schools. I won't pretend I am close with them or even really know them. I have heard their stories through my grandfather though. I have some close friends who also had parents who attend these schools and yes for a part it has affected their lives, I will not deny that. First I want to state a fact, these schools were not a genocide. What the conqu...
