Breaking my own rules real quick, this will be a real quick blog. Something happened last Friday and last weekend and it bugged me and it points out so many issues that I just gotta rant! I will touch on a few things "News Media" and journalism, social media, a little politics, Edmonton, gun control, the justice system and racism. Not really edited so sorry if it isn't the easiest read. Start with YEG wave, anyone else know who that is? I'll pretend you don't. They claim to be #1 in Alberta Culture and Entertainment pages. I personally found them because they have had news up on Edmonton way before the mainstream does. A quick scroll shows maybe it isn't culture they are into but crime and politics. I have seen them called racist online, that of course isn't true, let me explain. A view of their page and you can tell they are right leaning for sure. However nothing they post has been untrue. Also they rarely post anything of their thoughts just actual vide...

 Its a mixed bag again, so if you aren't here for both politics and pop culture you may want to skip parts.... This was going to be its own separate blog but I think I can get my thoughts down to a small paragraph. People in the media in their day to day life should not live in fear. I get that yes some jobs might be scary but day to day reporters shouldn't be in fear. The fact is a couple mornings ago Global had a segment on how it has gotten scary and that isn't right. People shouldn't be threatening reporters. The true fact is you can point the finger back at Trump and his "Fake News" as a spark for this and it isn't right. HOWEVER Trump wasn't wrong on the fact a lot of news now is fake OR at least very spun.... Depending on whether you are following CBC or Rebel news you will get very different ideas on the trucker protest. Neither is "wrong" per say. So as of this moment Jan 9th 605 AM Trump hasn't started a war. But I gotta post my take from it anyways. Only Trump or his fucked up government would think they could assassinate a foreign government official. Especially one from Iran! Did they really think they would back down?? Some countries honestly might, our limp wristed leader maybe... Iran is not about to, they have to show strength to keep their dictatorship up. So they threaten to retaliate, go figure..... So what does the bone spur having draft dodger say, he will blow up cultural sites. THAT A FUCKING WAR CRIME! Everyone, even some of his supporters called him out and then he back pedaled. Like a champ. How is he always doing this and people still supporting him? Either way they attacked, like they promised they would. I guess two bases, though I heard three originally.
