Wokeness is a disease. I have 0 problem stating the truth. The fact is the meaning if you google is alert to injustice, especially racism. Now that in itself is GOOD! So the weather has been shit this year, so far for the summer at least. I complained last year it was too hot. I will take that any day over the wet of this year. I mean my garden is doing okay but it is so wet I really don't wanna go stand in mud and weed. Even though that is what it really needs. I should be out there now since again they call for rain this afternoon, but it has been awhile since I wrote. It messes up the chance to get out and have a fire. So Game of Thrones ended. How did ya'll feel about the last season? Rushed, much? Ya me too. It was good, I am not saying it wasn't. What I am saying, why not 10 / 12 episodes?? And why did so many story lines end up meaning nothing! Who Jon really was did nothing. The entire Iron Fleet was pretty well useless and Euron was just a boring character. I really need to stop blogging in the AM. It is supposed to be for "real" writing. But I am so bad at editing I have been avoiding doing it like the plague. HOWEVER for really real, I am gonna start, tomorrow... I am so closed to finish, then I need another person to edit. Plus I am insecure about it. I was bothered by an article I read on huffington post the other day. Not having kids sing the anthem in school. To me this is going too far, with social justice or whatever you want to call in now. I had to sing it in the morning, didn't hurt me. I get taking the lords prayer out. We had to say that, "back in the day" Now there are so many people of different religions that maybe it has become inappropriate, I can give you that. HOWEVER why take away the anthem? Are we not all Canadian? People talk about lacking Canadian identity and we want to take away our national song? They claimed it is hyper nationalist. And? We should take pride in our nation. I was watching a roid rager moan about the Gillette commercial last night. At first I jumped to the conclusion he was just a dumb ass, then I actually listened. He had a good point, there isn’t really toxic masculinity. There is masculinity, that which makes us male. We typically are stronger. We rough house and are taught not to piss moan and cry about everything. Life gives you some hiccups and you deal with them. There is nothing wrong with that. I am willing to bet most women, whether they admit it or not want a masculine male. I assume yes women wanna feel strong and independent but I am sure they also wanna feel feminine and not the man in the relationship. Been awhile since I just blogged about random shit. A ton has gone on in my life. I got married, I finished a first draft of my book. Work picked up. My grandmother sadly got worse. So ya even though I should be doing something useful in my chance to write this AM, I think I will chill and ramble. I guess if I am rambling about writing I am kinda bummed that Fansideseats.com hasn't been putting new shit up for awhile. I was enjoying writing stuff for the and I think there was actually more views of my work so that was good. But not writing there gave me more time to work on my fantasy novel. Which I finished YA! But editing sucks, it is making me rethink the whole writing process. Like I just pour words onto a page and then get back to it months later. Welp half the time I am not sure what I meant and then my writing was so unedited that I, the writer can't get what I was going for. So this is a fluff piece! The fact is I am starting 10 days off (Down to 8 now, started this 2 days ago!) and I really wanted to have a rough draft done for a kids story that a friend might do some drawings for. I hit the common stumbling block I often hit. I work on at least 3 stories in my head at a time. Then one over powers another and I want to focus on it. Well after thinking the kids story for weeks a different one has taken control. This week I NEED to focus on the kids story but cant, so hoping some fluff will put me in the right mind set to get back on that. So fluff time, then FOCUS! Firstly 10 days off! I love to read. I don't even know how many books I have. It helps my grandma at one point had a second hand book store. SO it isn't just one genre, I own many genres. Plus for some reason in High School I liked to steal texts books so I have some of them too. Anyways I like this topic cause I have a ton to choose from. A book I liked, the list is too long.
