I was going to post a new travel blog on the north but it turns out it is Expo weekend in Edmonton. I went for opening night Friday and here are some random thoughts. For real this one is just quick and dirty no editing so I am sorry if it gets a bit mixed up but trying to post while it is still relevant! If you bought a meet and greet or pic or whatever and the celeb cancelled AFTER the refund deadline you didn't get your money back? I 1000% get it if you cancel or change your mind after the deadline, tough shit. Hell it sucks but even if something bad happened and you cant make it you agreed to something when you bought the tickets. HOWEVER if the celeb cancels after the deadline, that is not on the customer and the expo SHOULD be giving a full refund. I only heard second hand that they weren't. I already said the trailers keep showing Doom stopping Stormbreaker with 2 fingers and that looks fucking cheesy. Marvel keeps writing the whole "Infinity Saga" as kind of worthless. Thanos was so big and bad with the gauntlet but then Loki sees Infinity Stones as paper weights in the TVA and Doom stops an attack with 2 fingers that the Gauntlet couldn't? "Hell answers to me" Somethings look super cheesy BUT a lot of it looks really good. Of course most trailers look really good. Honestly lets be glad this "Multiverse Saga" is over. Since Endgame the MCU really hasn't been great. Guardians 3 was amazing, Spiderman recently blew up the box office but in general the movies and series they have put out have been meh, at best.  Old as balls, thats what I am.... Well not yet only 45 recently but man looking back on the mid 80s until now, wow things have changed. Not the point though, I had a "birthday party" recently at the Canadian Brew House by my house. It became clear I no longer "party". First we were there by 5PM and out by 745. In younger years, usually couldnt actually afford to go out like that so it was a back yard BBQ that started around 6. It would be noisy and last half the night, hell most years the sun would be up by the time I laid down. Now the loudest thing is my friends kids running around. No one gets out of hand. My friends are amazing and assholes at the same time. Most other Bdays we just have a nice meal, same with mine but they still buy me shots for some reason when they dont with others. Final blog post of our Paris, Italy, Greece trip. I have posted Paris, Italy, and wrapped up Greece. You can read all those if you want. We had finished our tour and were sitting in the Athens airport. We had one more day, and it would be an afternoon in Paris. Athens airport is nothing amazing. It is large and international, but the selection for eating is pretty minimal. You're not getting a great sit-down meal. Ended up buying headphones in a store and paid way too much. As our plane loaded, they started using a metal box to size up carry-on. If the bag didn't fit in the box, they were making people get rid of shit or repack. We went into panic mode; without a doubt, we are not going to fit. I'll just admit we are overpackers. So, the clothes and books go in the pockets. I don't even remember all the shit we moved, and then, just before us, they put the box away. I am not sure if it was for cheaper seats or what the hell it was, but we didn't have to use it. SO r...

  Let's start roughly 4600 years ago. That's when we start seeing Greek history. Or the early version, like the Mycenaeans and the Minoans. 2000 BC is roughly the start of what we think of as ancient Greece. Around 800 BC, we start to see the rise of city-states. The two biggies, of course, are Sparta and Athens. 499 marks the start of the Greco-Persian Wars. The whole movie 300 times. They last roughly 20 years, and in 479 the Greeks finally crushed Persia, and we hit the golden age of ancient Greece. Here, you get what most people are thinking of: Pericles, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and the Parthenon is built.
