2004 - 2006 The "House"

I am gonna start off with work and hope to avoid it most of this entry. A position had opened up on our sales desk again. All us warehouse guys applied on it. We didn't even get an interview. Army (remember him the guy who hired me) simply brought us all together and then said one of the office ladies, lets call her Mother Hen got it. There were quite a few let down guys. Then a bit after that Army moved into the office to. We didn't have a warehouse supervisor. We should have seen it coming though. They transferred  a guy, he won't show up much lets just call him Dude  from our shop into the warehouse. Personally I thought he was a great guy. Pop Culture didn't like him. Pop didn't think Dude  was very bright (He actually was just an FYI) and in typical Pop fashion he let it show. After about a month the Manager of the whole place brings us all in again and says Dude  is the new warehouse supervisor. It might have been a week or two when Army  introduced u...

Summer :( Over

Summer is over, like WTF I swear just yesterday I was saying YA! Summer is here. I am going to get sooo much golf in this year! Two games is all by the way. All in all, it hast been anything that exciting. I didn't go out anywhere. I didn't get a fishing license. I didn't even grow a garden. I didn't win the lotto and we didn't even go on a holiday anywhere. I mean usually we have left somewhere!! I know I can only blame myself so I am not going to cry about it... Too Much. I did a few things though. I started yoga. I guess it isn't "real" yoga. Like it ain't hard in fact it is relaxation yoga. It really works too. In strange ways. I do feel relaxed after, and have great sleeps. Its the inward meditation that is funky. The most random shit pops into my head. Old memories, sometimes fears or worries. Like in the movies people meditate and all of a sudden bam! They are like a super human. Me I am more relaxed, yes but my mind goes all over the plac...

2002-2003 Gettin better!

Life was as follows, get up at 630 which was a time I had forgot existed. Black, Cowboy and me piled into Blacks truck and went to work. This was when my coffee addiction started. Until then I never had tasted coffee! Now warehouse work was nothing like Black made it sound. I was more than capable of doing anything that needed done. Ya there was some heavy lifting but nothing bad. Pretty soon I was one of the top pickers. (Spell check wanted to change pickers to dickers for some reason. Whats a dicker?) I admit I sucked at building skids but oh well mostly I helped customers at the door. Plus I was getting in better shape, putting on a few healthy pounds. There as 1 guy, Pop Culture who stuck out right away. Like first day I start he says, that's all? I said what? Well the way Black talks about you, you're 6'5 and shot thunder bolts out yer ass. Actually you're kind of a let down. Wtf, I think the guy is a douche. But then at breaks or whenever I wanna talk about anythi...

2001/2002 College round 2

I started me versus school round 2. I dunno if it was fair cause well I was doing the same stuff. Here is what was funny though. I handed in the same unedited essays to my new professor, the ones doctor whore face said were terrible and he disagreed. The grammar and shit was garbage but I had a very strong "voice". I didn't skip his class! Round 2 I was doing so much better! For now. 9/11 happened in here. I kinda glazed over it but this was about when it happened. My second crack at school. I remember I had worked late the night before, slept in because I didn't have any early classes and when I showed up it was strange. People were sitting around out front and everyone was sitting in the common areas of GMCC. So I asked someone, whats going on. All they could say was America was under attack. I didn't get it, when someone says that I thought the a military strike. I rushed to the nearest TV, both planes had hit but they were showing it over and over and trying...

All So Stupid!

Protest, counter protest. We are right, you are wrong. You're all stupid! Taking a break from my regular series of blogs to say that! Now let me be clear that was for the world in general. As the world burns, everyone is getting more and more divided. Charlottesville is the perfect example of that. It is starting to seem like the world lost common sense and a middle ground to just break into little hate groups. Let's start with the "altright" These clowns in the KKK or who follow shitstains like Dr. David Duke. You gotta move out of the 50's or whatever generation you are locked in. There is no conspiracy  to wipe of the "white" race. PS White isn't even a fucking race. Unlike the million years before now people travel and  mingle. Blood gets mixed, it doesn't matter. A persons skin tone, religion, sexual preference really shouldn't matter. It should be that people judge others on their character and actions none of this other bullshit. But...

Edmonton year 1

The great adventure started June 28th 2000. Shwa, Ditch and I drove down to Edmonton  in my beat up car. We booked in a hotel in downtown and started our house hunt by visiting my cousin, Auntie Glos kid who lived here. We had circled a bunch of places in the classified and showed them to her. She scribbled them all out and said not in those areas. There was a reason they were cheap. She helped us find more and we spend the next day and a half looking and applying. We honestly got our heart set on one place. We nicknamed it Melrose Place, you 90s people will get it. Everyone was young and pretty and seemed to know each other. June 29th was my 19th birthday. So that night we went out to Whyte Ave! We had at least 10 applications out and we celebrated our asses off. Then reality crashed in. The 30th I got up and realized I was out of something. I don't even remember what, it was like pitstick or something so I got dressed left the hotel and started walking downtown. Then some lady ...

High School Adventures!

High school was really about 2 things and maybe they weren't the right 2 things. MY first job and my girlfriend. But aint that a guys problem all his life?? Money and women??!! :) When we got back from Edmonton with Lil Beast I got a phone call. Not to apply on a job, no, but that I had a job at a local chain restaurant. The manager had been friends with my uncle for as long as I can remember. The general manager who everyone mistakenly thought was the owner was also friends with mom for as long as I could remember. So there it was no interview no nothing, just you start Monday after school. I was a bus boy, I cleaned tables, made salads and brought food out when needed BUT I was not ready on my first shift to carry food. That requires training!  HAHAHAHAHAH (No offense people in restaurants, but working in one from 15 - mid twenties no it really doesn't) AT this point I was still kinda shy and awkward. So the general manager brought all the waitresses and bus girls together....
