So Game of Thrones ended. How did ya'll feel about the last season? Rushed, much? Ya me too. It was good, I am not saying it wasn't. What I am saying, why not 10 / 12 episodes?? And why did so many story lines end up meaning nothing! Who Jon really was did nothing. The entire Iron Fleet was pretty well useless and Euron was just a boring character. When they said he was going to make Ramsay look like a pansy I was excited. In the end he was a douche that got killed by a one armed man. The whole Knight King story was boring. Ya Arya killing him was awesome, but for 8 years of build up I just need to say WTF. The golden company, same thing. Complete waste of time. Could have slaughtered Kingslanding without ever mentioning them. BUT even saying that I liked the last season. Sansa had an amazing story and is the Queen in the North. Okay, here it is my review. If you haven't watched and don't want spoilers click away right now! (I wanted this up earlier, bet since it is the biggest film of all time you all have seen it now!) If you have watched or don't give a crap have a read. My take on easily the greatest superhero movie ever and a movie up there with overall just the best movies of any kind anywhere. I really need to stop blogging in the AM. It is supposed to be for "real" writing. But I am so bad at editing I have been avoiding doing it like the plague. HOWEVER for really real, I am gonna start, tomorrow... I am so closed to finish, then I need another person to edit. Plus I am insecure about it. The best part of the NHL year is upon us. Let me breakdown the road to the Stanley Cup, or at least as I see it for all ya all! By the way I was right last year! BUT I had been riding on the Caps winning for a decade or so, so there is that fact. But here is Tavis' predictions this years Western Conference Calgary V Colorado - It will be nice to see the flames fans sad when Calgary implodes. I am not certain it will be the first round. They have the momentum and the talent to win this one. A great regular season does not always make a good playoff run. This is the closest series in the playoffs is my guess. Calgary in 6 though. So Captain Marvel is out now. I am prewarning you below has spoilers! If you don’t want them then quit reading right now! If not and you just want a review / my thoughts then keep on reading. This is my last Marvel big screen blog until after End Game. Thinking about a bit of the Netflix universe but not sure if I will do it or not. This was a good MCU movie. It wasn’t great. It couldn’t have launched the MCU the way RDJ did with Iron man. Having said that though I think at this point no movie could. It is almost like this came out at the wrong time. Anything between Infinity War and End Game is going to feel like filler…. But if rumors are true, marvel is staking a whole lot on this. Supposedly signing a 7 movie deal for Brie Larsen. She will be the new RDJ. First what does that mean for him? Are we losing Tony? Also what does that mean for the MCU, more space movies? Is the next “phase” going to be about space? Friday was a bad day for humanity. I had to stay off twitter, (NO that's not why it was a bad day! I don't have that big an ego) I felt anything I posted would be read wrong or my point wouldn't come across as I wanted it to. Also I didn't have the time to argue with both Social Justice Warriors and Right Wing Nuts. I do have a real job! So here is a loose blog, it isn't straight forward and planned just my thoughts on the Christ Church Massacre First the shooter is a sick person. To live stream something like this is hopefully something none of us understand. There are some deep issues and this person is the villain. Second the people there are the victims, no one else. Lets stop trying to bring this into our Canadian politics. I still don't support M103 and never, ever will. I am not about to get into a long winded blog about that. I did when it came out. Time for the second half of the MCU review............ The hidden gem, or Age of Ultron. Hear me out here. My first watch through I thought what a load of crap this one is. THEN a couple years later as the MCU expanded I had a new found respect for it. Ultron isn’t really the big thing, it is all the other things going on. Lets start with the lame. Like how or why does Hydra have the staff / infinity stone? And when did everyone, the Avengers I mean just hook up and start looking for that? The whole thing just doesn’t seem to get any traction. I mean I can’t put my finger on it BUT it just seems boring. HOWEVER this is the good… First we get a peek that Wakanda is coming. Then we Get Vision, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Did you know she is the Olsen twins little sister?? Crazy Eh? And sadly Quicksilver dies, super lame. But we also get another infinity stone, building the MCU even more.
