I was bothered by an article I read on huffington post the other day. Not having kids sing the anthem in school. To me this is going too far, with social justice or whatever you want to call in now. I had to sing it in the morning, didn't hurt me. I get taking the lords prayer out. We had to say that, "back in the day" Now there are so many people of different religions that maybe it has become inappropriate, I can give you that. HOWEVER why take away the anthem? Are we not all Canadian? People talk about lacking Canadian identity and we want to take away our national song? They claimed it is hyper nationalist. And? We should take pride in our nation. NO it doesn't say everything is good and nothing bad. Why would you write a song trying to instill national pride with the bad in it? Cold enough for you? I cannot handle this phrase anymore! I know it is cold in Edmonton but can we stop with this?? Like really what do you want me to reply? No I wish it was colder. Marvel has the big screen on  lock. 18 movies? In 10 years, billions made and a massive story unfolding. It must have been nice for Stan the Man to see his lives work explode like it has in the last decade. Now marvel and Netflix on the other hand has been hit and miss. The first Daredevil was amazing! Some of the rest has been pretty miss… The one thing though they have done awesome though, is the villains! I am not sure, maybe it’s the character, maybe it is the actor but Marvel and Netflix are winning at villains. Jessica Jones is not for me. Don’t get me wrong Krysten Ritter nails the grumpy, drunk detective. The junkie neighbor, not super interesting. A semi famous sister, again not hooking me. I was watching a roid rager moan about the Gillette commercial last night. At first I jumped to the conclusion he was just a dumb ass, then I actually listened. He had a good point, there isn’t really toxic masculinity. There is masculinity, that which makes us male. We typically are stronger. We rough house and are taught not to piss moan and cry about everything. Life gives you some hiccups and you deal with them. There is nothing wrong with that. I am willing to bet most women, whether they admit it or not want a masculine male. I assume yes women wanna feel strong and independent but I am sure they also wanna feel feminine and not the man in the relationship. Ahh that lovely time every few years when we see the worst in all people is upon us! That's right elections are coming! The brutal truth is both federally and provincially we are going to see shit get nasty. From both sides, let's not pretend anyone is innocent. So day 13 in Mexico, I am not even going to say how it started since the prior 12 were the same. The shitty thing was it was still crazy windy. We went up to the excursion desk to check in again and again it was cancelled. They have 3 times 8 11 and 2. The 8 was cancelled and they weren't sure if our 11 would go. So I asked to cancel it, get a refund. It sucks sitting around all day waiting and being let down. So they credited the room back the trip fees. Honestly I didn't understand the whole thing they wanted to do but in the end they didn't credit the card back the money, just the room. So then we turned around and booked a second massage, which would be billed to the room and eat up the credit.... They say crediting the card takes up to 2 weeks and credit to the room is so much easier. I think the truth is they just want you to spend the money. Which I totally understand.
