Honestly just a rant, while I am currently in a "professional" writing course I know this blog ain't that, just some thoughts, feelings, observations on the vote a couple nights ago. I should probably just stay off social media with #Abpoli threads for the next couple days. The election is over and if I thought social media was bad before it has just gotten worse. I am not sure who takes loss worse the MAGAts down in the states when Prez Bone Spurs was ejected OR NDP supporters. Thousands of posts, Albertans are all redneck racist homophobic bigots! The crazy part is how many are from people not even in ALBERTA! The thing is I am not even a big UCP guy. Many times I have blogged about Dani Smith and maybe how I don't trust her at all but when you come at my home, of course I am going to say shit back. This might be a mixed bag or it might just be politics, a look at Canada and Alberta and where we went wrong. I guess it depends on how long the politics take. Either way heads up, this won't have fun little nuggets like which games I am playing or some good issues to read...... Democracy or at least the art of democratic politics is dead and funnily enough it was killed by the parliamentary democracy government system. We still get to cast our votes, that is true but it has become whoever gets elected is more accountable to their party than to the population they are supposed to represent. There is a party whip now, someone who makes sure the MP or MLA tows the line for the party. People don't run on what is best for their riding but for the parties ideals. I keep saying the party with a very specific point. It is usually in authoritarian countries we have a "party" Glory to the Party! I did start ANOTHER blog and move a lot of my rants, so this is mostly pop culture with some grump in it.  Welp the Oil have moved on, I watched game 6 or most of it. Other than that I am a bandwagon jumper, I get to wear my jersey at work so that's me being a fan. Now I do have a take away from that game. The Oil got lucky the Kings goaltending was weak. Not even comparing it to Quick on the first cup win when he was a beast but just in general. You HAVE to have great 'tending at least to win a cup, the Kings didn't. So far the Knights look like they do, will they be harder for the Oil. I think so but I think the Oil can take them to.  I see a LOT of Alberta north of Edmonton in my travels. At first I tried to write it all out but that didn't work. Often I would get to town, go see customers. Take one out for dinner, depending I might do my night classes after or blog or write but not about my travels. I THINK I might start doing that again. Making little notes and memories about some of these towns. I will be 100% honest Alberta has some beautiful places. Places you might not think of but here my friends is my take on some of the North! Lets start of out Edmonton down Yellowhead Highway 16. I am not doing Entwhistle or Evansburg as I really don't know them. Honestly they seem like nice enough small towns but I just don't know them.  OMG again a post that just got too long for social media so it becomes a small blog rant... First lets just all get on board that politics has become a joke. Social media has not helped politics at all. It is now more about people shit posting online and politicians (Of every party) mud slinging rather than doing what is best for our nation. We are more divided and grow more divided every day. I don't want to be a luddite and say tech is bad but without a doubt it has a lot of bad to go with the good. It is great people and parties can reach a wider audience, a more informed voter is a better voter. Scroll through social media though it isn't important points anymore, it's trying to stir up shit to not win your vote per say but to make you not vote for the opponent. So I started out ranting about comics and the things that were pissing me off. Not just comics but pop culture in general. I decided I don't want to do just negative things anymore. SO while all the original paragraphs are here I did ad in some thoughts on current runs I am really liking and tried to put some positivity in. So sorry if this one is long.
