March for our lives, is wrong!

The world keeps giving me shit to blog about when I wanna keep working on fiction! Yes I realize that is a first world problem. And I am glad to have it rather than nothing to write about but I wish it wasn't always so stupid. See there was yet again a school shooting. It is a horrible hallmark but I remember the big one, Columbine. I was in grade 12 at the time. It shocked the world, we had an assembly the next day basically to say if you ever feel like this get help! We as a society hoped that it was a one off, we were proved very, very wrong. Mike Moore made a half assed movie about it. When it came out I was mind blown by it. When I realized many things can be given a slant (Thank you journalism school & making of a murderer) I took it with a grain of salt. But he did raise a very good point, WTF?! why were these shootings happening??? I am not gonna blog that, that would take a lot longer than I have but I am starting to get perturbed with this new anti gun BS going on. ...

Rant Circa 2010 Part 4

Second last old rant.... Circa 2010. No editing done.... Parts of it don't make much sense to me either lol...... I am saddened by the death of common courtesy. He was mostly a good friend, he never asked for much yet often he made a shitty day just slightly better. That one small act, known simply as common courtesy brought a small token of happiness to millions and I believe he has been killed. Last weekend we went back to my home town, driving through the parking lot of the mall a fellow waved to me... (See fellow pleasant way to say some dude I dunno, maybe the changing of common words has helped speeding the death), anyhow. My girlfriend asks who was that? I dunno just a friendly person, has a wave become that foreign of a concept? Door holding, is that gone also? I have noticed people are either really happy or confused when you hold the door for them, I find that sad. My dad would slap us upside the head is we didn’t hold the door for people. I personally blame the guidos...

Police, Comics and taxes!

I was reading a thread on Twitter again that got me scratching my head. About the Edmonton city police. Let me say I have no feelings on cops good or bad, really they are a none issue to me. Growing up in GP we only had the RCMP and they were great. Reasonable and fair. Ill say it I like the RCMP. Then I moved to Edmonton and a couple times I have been rather angry with the EPS. Like when I called in a stolen car and nothing was ever done. Or when two big cops used a friends head to open Essies bar door. She was just a tiny little woman BTW. But living and working in Ingewood, Queen Mary and Central McDougall I have seen really good cops to. So to me I guess it is like anything you can have good and you can have bad. Plus I will freely admit I "banged" Fuck the Police. I was one of them whit kids who thought Ice Cube was bad ass and it made suburban whites feel tough. It was years later I learned the actual reason for the song and still respect it. Anyways the whole thing w...

gender id and me!

I am kind of a shit disturber. I like at work to take a topic to co workers that I know aren't going to agree, drop it in a stupid statement and walk away to watch the bee hive I kicked explode. I like to do the same thing on twitter. That's kinda what I wanna rant about today, social media storms. And the most recent one I got going about "toxic masculinity" Lets just start out with twitter in general. Common sense is totally gone there. There is simply no middle ground anymore. If you comment anything people instantly divide you into altright or a leftie. For example I disagreed with Jenna Jameson and all of a sudden I am just some crazy left wing liberal. Next day I say there is nothing wrong with men dressing like men and I am some altright hate mongerer.... So I am confused which am I? There is almost no common sense, it seems no one can agreed another view might have a valid point. I can (usually) agree if someone can show me something legit. Then there is the...

Small Jasper rant!

Just a quick unedited rant today as I make my breakfast and get ready to head to Jasper. Skiing tomorrow, I am not the best at it but I aint terrible. I can handle the blue runs and some easy blacks. It started last week, went with the inlaws to a family ski thing here in Edmonton. They brought their niece and it was super fun. SO the next day they went to get their skis waxed and some how the father in law bought me skis and the fiance bought me boots. Oh and the decided we are going to Jasper. I am good with that been a few years since I was at Marmot. Forecast is a cold ass day. Hope not but either way should be a good day. NOW the real thing is the difference in this trip. I used to go with friends and it was more a party than skiing. This time however it is the opposite. I doubt I will be too hungover to make it to the hill! Plus we are bringing our dog, we doesn't travel well. My truck will get at least one vomit in it. I just hope he don't howl all day in the hotel. Can...

Second 2008 rant...

Another random thought rant. Again I think from 2008 - 2010 era?? Again no editing I hate line ups. Grocery stores are the worst. Old people seriously do go and buy a jug of milk just to get out and talk to someone... It isn’t an urban legend.  Young guys go and hit on the hottest cashier and sometimes they aren’t that hot. I mean I have seen guys spy a hot cashier and line up in a longer line to chat her up. I wonder if they are let down when they finally get up and notice a ring on her finger. But I do like playing a game in my head. What is their life like.  Milf or 20 something with lotsa groceries brand names and no discount card. Rich trophy wife.  Single middle age to old man with single serving meals and not much veggies but pet food, bachelor Also possible serial killer. Ditto for woman but maybe more veggies. I watched a man buy 12 4 litre jugs of milk and wondered what a person needs that much milk for. Rules for Humanity #2 Animal lives also have ...
