30 day writing challenge #1 Problems with Social Media

So as the first of thirty writing challenges, I am going to blog about social media. I mean I wanted to do this on its own but I will shorten it down for this challenge and rant my 5 biggest problems with this modern problem. Social Media.

1) Every clown can now say whatever they want to major audiences. I mean not me, my blog gets like 0 hits but some people can spit hate to anyone. Look at clowns like Return of Kings, retards like Roosh gain insane amounts of followers. Men who hate their lives find a spokesperson and parasites who in the past would not see the light of day become pseudo celebs. Look at white power or even black power on shit like twitter. Spitting hate towards fellow man. I don't think that is why the Internet or social media was invented. (Don't get your panties in a bunch I ain't saying it is a black or white thing I am saying any crazy group can spread. Hell look at Donald Trump!)

2) Politics. Notley, Trudeau ya these two clowns have governments in a large part due to the fact they are social media savvy. Or at least smart enough to hire people who are. The PC parties in both Alberta and Canada really need to get on this band wagon. Also it is great for mud slinging. Take a look at Deborah Drever. She is a clown, and everyone knows it now because someone was smart enough to go on Facebook and prove it. Something like Facebook, made for friends to keep up has now become a weapon.

3) That leads into the fact that now nothing is ever lost. You fuck up once and it makes it to the Internet, you are screwed. Like Alexis Frulling, well maybe not in a dirty alley! (Ya that was a jab) Like I will admit I have some less than classy pics on Facebook but most I wouldn't care if people saw. However what about people who do something dumb, regret it but someone posted it. That person now will never be able to escape it. Right Alexis?? I am glad the dumb shit we did growing up isn't locked in cyber space forever.  The flip side of that is anyone dumb enough to do actual bad things and posted are basically confessing....

4) Lives ruined. Not even being dramatic but lives are ruined because of social media. Cyber Bullying had someone said tat term when I was in school I woulda said WTF?? Kids have killed themselves over this. I mean their is a deeper problem, like shitty parents but that is a different blog... On top of that people have lost jobs. Marriages ruined. Not that cheaters don't deserve to be caught but it is a two way street put sex into everything on social media then expose people acting it out. Perverts, like you could go on for ever about this. Social media is now a way wackos can meet. Pedos can troll to chat with kids. I am guessing this will have adverse affects on these kids lives. Hell how many people do you think have had some of their most intimate pictures and acts spread all over the world by a vengeful ex or something... The fact is social media now has an effect on almost every aspect of our lives and can be used for good or bad.

5) It is killing normal human contact!! Walk into a lunchroom today, I dare you. 30 people sitting around 25 have their face buried in their phone. Ain't no more, did you catch the game last night? Or Hey hows yer kids doin?? Its a quiet room of people losing the ability to communicate. Christmas cards have no become e-cards. Like WTF soon will we not even speak any more just text and message on social media.....

There, that is a quick over view of a blog I wanted to do on the problems with Social Media!!

Edmonton / Highway of Tears

This was going to be a small paragraph in a bigger random blog but it grew really fast and the fact is I thought it was rather interesting so it will be post of its own. I decided to add some of these womens names. I once heard a pod about Jack the Rippers victims, that humanized them. I think thats what should be done, why glorify freak shows and forget about the people who suffered because of them. Also I added a bit more as I was just going to, just quickly mention Edmonton but I think it is bigger than that. Also still cannot find a legit decent looking charity to donate to for MMIWG.... Msg me if you know one! IS there a serial killer in Edmonton? Or was there one active? On another long drive home I came across podcasts on EPS, which led to pods on what they called the Edmonton - Leduc murders. Which if you have been around Edmonton for awhile I know you have heard of. I just was unaware of the amount and length of time this had been going on. First thing though not all these mur

Alberta Politics Pre 2019 election

Ahh that lovely time every few years when we see the worst in all people is upon us! That's right elections are coming! The brutal truth is both federally and provincially we are going to see shit get nasty. From both sides, let's not pretend anyone is innocent. This is all I am going to say on politics for awhile, at least until elections OR if something crazy happens. I really need to concentrate on actual writing. Not twitter bickering with people. So here is it my thoughts on the current federal and provincial politics. (Breaking this into 2 parts. This one is going to be just media and Alberta) First let's start with the sideliners. The media and the peanut gallery. Rebel Media OR Chicken little media. Whichever you want to call them is fine by me. It has been years now I was blocked for using common sense or not drinking the Kool-aid by Ezzie and the Rebel account. I can say I never dropped into name calling or anything like that with either, but I guess not believi

Part 3 Addiction

So, I have stated first, we need the correct systems in place, and second, we need healthy citizens for a better society. One of the root problems in society, though, is addiction. A mental health problem that can lead to so much more. Family violence, crime, homelessness, job loss, and on and on. There is no cure for addiction. There is management, and there are many things we can do much better to help addicts and society. So, let's tackle this one next.  I like drinking! I like the taste of a good whiskey or red wine. Or the supposed "no taste" of good vodka. I like that little boost of confidence that tells me, hell ya, you can dance! Or the fact that, yes, after a long day, it does take an edge off. I have a ton of great memories of times when booze was around... The flip side of that is I'm not too fond of hangovers. I hate not knowing what happened the night before; I guess there is a term for this now: hangxiety. Some of my worst memories and things I hate abo
