Moar random junk

Time to post this, I realize I started it a month or easily two months ago. A lot has happened over that time, so some of this is dated. It is easier to make quick entries like this right now so sadly for the next little bit I doubt I will be working on any travel blogs. The next two entries will be a two parter and MAYBE by the time they are up my life will be calmed down and I can get back to travel..... It is time for the X-Men to save the MCU. Ratings are down, we have super hero hangover even F4 didn't do amazing. Its time for the Phoenix Saga. They have tried with two terrible movies and it ended both X-Men runs. Time to do 20 movies like the Infinity Saga with Phoenix in the background until the final showdown with her as well, the villain. I want to see the original 5 in the first movie and yes Magneto as the villain. A few solo offshoot movies and Giant Sized X-Men is your first crossover. You can cover so many classic stories and please do Mutant Massacre, the whole MCU c...

Daredevil Born Again Rant

Quick Daredevil rant, not edited and full of spoilers. I wouldn't read if you haven't watch the season yet.  The MCU isn't dead. As much as people might say it is. No it hasn't been the same since Endgame.  They still have enough viewers to make B grade TV. In fact they needed to bring back the original face of the MCU in RDJ. No one wants him to be a variant of Tony as Doom, I am guessing they have worked out quite the story for him we will all soon see. While I really hope Thunderbolts is good, it seems like they are hanging a lot on Fantastic Four and the coming of the Mutants soon. Besides all that fans of Daredevil were super pumped for that series to be back, maybe it can save the MCU and finally give them a decent TV series. Season 1 is done and here are some quick thoughts on it. A lot of people were thinking Disney would not be a violent as Netflix had been with the original run. Turns out they are. I think the thing they missed here was the violence wasn't...

Deadpool & MCU stuff

The MCU hasn't been the same since Endgame. It has had a few decent TV shows, and let's be honest, Guardians 3 was terrific. Spidey and Doc Strange were alright, and also, a ton of crap has come out. Moving forward is looking iffy, even with a fantastic movie out and hopefully one on the way. Here are my mini highlights, and of course, there are spoilers, so be warned. So, let's talk about RDJ coming back to the MCU. It reeks of desperation. The most popular actor of the first 10 years has to come back to revamp the entire franchise. Have things really gotten that bad?? Is Cap coming back if Brave New World bombs? I will give it a shot; RDJ is a great actor. I know he can pull the roll-off, but there had better be one hell of a well-written plot to get there. I am making an assumption he is a clone? A variant? If they say he looks strikingly close to Tony and wears a suit of armor, I might lose it. Let's assume Dr. Doom will be a big bad and not wasted as a one-shot. ...

Hangover season... for superhero's

So this blog is unpolished, unedited. I just wanted to write some fun stuff between blogs on serious issues. I have been listening to audio books that are draining as well, interesting but not fun... Art of War, The Prince, 48 Laws of power. So this is just a quick fun one... Anyways I will start it Dear Mr. Feige.... With 3 or 4 streaming services, I still find myself falling back and watching classics like Daredevil and Punisher and starting the millionth rewatch of the Infinity Saga. Just watching the first couple Iron Man and Cap America 1, a person becomes painfully aware how bad the MCU phase 4 and 5 have been. Don't get me wrong, there has been a few highlights. Spiderman had cameos we all loved. Dr Strange I personally liked even though the working title should have been "No Wanda, don't! Bad!"  PAUSE. STOP. I was going to start bitching about how the overall product of the MCU has gone downhill. Then I started to think how many stinkers the Infinity Saga had ...

Upcoming MCU

Let me be honest, phase 4 hasn't really been all that good. The D+ shows are entertaining but none have been mind blowing. Spiderman was good but in all reality it was a fan service show. We got to see old favs and the multiverse was slightly opened up. Dr Strange was good in fact it really sets the stage for "Multiverse Saga" a lot of other movies seem to be filler. Black Widow should have come out earlier. Shang Chi was cool but not amazing. Eternals was honestly kinda boring world building. Did other things come out, I can't remember. Thor I can't say I haven't seen it yet.... But overall nothing was amazing and ya phase 1 MCU wasn't crazy good but Ironman and Cpt America really set the tone and built a universe, none of these movies really do that. I stand by my thought the MCU shot it all in the Infinity Saga. I don't think they foresaw the popularity AND once it took off threw everything out there. Really they didn't need Cpt Marvel, could ha...

Spidey Vs Bats

A few weeks back I started a blog why Nolans Dark Knight Trilogy is the best comic movies ever. I will finish it and get it out but for now I am writing on the two newest ones. I had a week off and finally had a chance to see them. 2 of the 4 movies I really wanna see this year. The other 2 being Secrets of Dumbledore and Dr. Strange. SO if you thought this was gonna be my pick of a fight between Spidey and Bats sorry it isn't. Bats always wins if he has time to prep.... Also should go without saying Spoilers ahead! First half is spidey if you wanna skip that, second is Bats if you wanna skip that. Spidey is the most important MCU movie to date. That doesn't mean best or my fav but it has the biggest impact on the MCU. It flat out states every Marvel movie you have seen, good or bad happened. The impact of that is bigger than people disappearing for 5 years. It is the gateway to the future. Let's be honest right now Marvel is scrapping for heroes. This "phase" is...

Xmcu OR X men join MCU

So we re-watched Infinity War and Endgame again. Then started on X men First Class. This opening isn't anything I haven't said before. I don't know how the MCU will make Phase 4 work. Tony and Steve were the heart of it all. Robert and Chris made these characters amazing and I am so not sure where they will go from their. Phase 4 I am sure will be a transition phase to be honest. They seem to be throwing a lot of "B" grade and down material at the wall to see what sticks. Some might, some I am sure won't. I am honestly excited for Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. I never thought I would say I was excited for a Doc Strange movie. However all my hopes lie in the fact hopefully this can open good plot lines for Phase 4 OR it will simply be a phase to introduce the rights Disney acquired to round out the MCU. That's right, the Xmen and FF. Iron man and Cap are gone. Thor has 1 decent movie. The guardians are good but not a heart and soul. Cap Marvel ...

XCU

I am not hipstering it up. Not trying to be a fan boy or anything like that but I gotta give the Xmen kudos for the huge impact they had on my life. NO not the deeper meaning of racism and segregation that Stan Lee had in mind but the fact they led to so much or smoothed the way for so much in my life. Let me start at the start. My babysitter in elementary oldest son had a comic collection. I would say I was 7 / 8 so about 88/89 when he introduced me to the Xmen. He had stacks of Classic Xmen so I got to learn the old stories. It was awesome! Or so I thought and it opened me up to comics. Sure I looked at some DC and the Avengers, Spidey, all the big titles but the X family was my fave. I was a nerd, and I grew up being that nerd. Then (IF you read my older blogs) I met Evil. I was 15 ish he was in his early 20s in 96 and we hit it off. He liked comics but told me to try some new ones, it didn't have to be heroes and villains. Or at least super powered ones, he introduced me to Pre...
