The Briar Patch

 I see a LOT of Alberta north of Edmonton in my travels. At first I tried to write it all out but that didn't work. Often I would get to town, go see customers. Take one out for dinner, depending I might do my night classes after or blog or write but not about my travels. I THINK I might start doing that again. Making little notes and memories about some of these towns. I will be 100% honest Alberta has some beautiful places. Places you might not think of but here my friends is my take on some of the North! Lets start of out Edmonton down Yellowhead Highway 16. I am not doing Entwhistle or Evansburg as I really don't know them. Honestly they seem like nice enough small towns but I just don't know them. Same as Wabamun. Great lake view but again dunno anything about it. Drayton Valley (pop 6802) I started going to a year ago. It is an oil town. I say that with no issues!  OMG again a post that just got too long for social media so it becomes a small blog rant... First lets just all get on board that politics has become a joke. Social media has not helped politics at all. It is now more about people shit posting online and politicians (Of every party) mud slinging rather than doing what is best for our nation. We are more divided and grow more divided every day. I don't want to be a luddite and say tech is bad but without a doubt it has a lot of bad to go with the good. It is great people and parties can reach a wider audience, a more informed voter is a better voter. Scroll through social media though it isn't important points anymore, it's trying to stir up shit to not win your vote per say but to make you not vote for the opponent. I will admit right here I post on politics and get a lot of negative feedback because I do exactly what I am bitching about here. So I started out ranting about comics and the things that were pissing me off. Not just comics but pop culture in general. I decided I don't want to do just negative things anymore. SO while all the original paragraphs are here I did ad in some thoughts on current runs I am really liking and tried to put some positivity in. So sorry if this one is long. You can skip the angry parts if you want.... Ill start pleasant. I have said it before and I will say it again AWA has become my favorite comic studio.
