Alberta Healthcare

I have ranted in a better thought-out blog before, but I need to vent on health care!  Throughout most of my life, I have had the fortune or misfortune of dealing with the healthcare system. Some of it is due to family and friends being involved in it. Once in a while, I have had to rely on it, and it is easy to notice over the last few decades that things are getting worse and worse. I've already vented on it, but I just have to get more off my chest about our current healthcare system. No matter what party is in power, they should be willing to repair the healthcare system; this should not be a political issue. I realize that different people will want to fix it in other ways. Still, no matter what party they should want to put the money in (like a lot of cash! and not wasteful spending but actual targeted spending), put the time in, put the effort in, and make Alberta healthy and happy once more. It can't be a Band-Aid fix anymore. We keep doing that with everything, doing m...

Part 2 Healthcare and mental health

Whatever you are doing right now, stop it. Grab a tall glass of water and chug it. 60% of human bodies are water. Most people don't get enough water in them in a day!! I'm seeing more people with big water bottles to remind them to drink. I have one, but I still need to get more into me. This is purely my opinion, but water, sleep, and HEALTHY food are the three best things for people. When someone is hungry, thirsty, or tired, they will not nearly perform as well as they usually would. That is a personal side note. I will get into it more, but we must take better care of ourselves. Those three things are a fundamental start. Get more sleep, healthy sleep. Don't drink to pass out; that sleep isn't restful. I mean the sleep you get after a long, hard day. Get more water, and I know it is hard, and you may end up peeing more BUT drink that damn water. Eat better! I am a person who eats out a lot, cooks at home a lot, and is used to eating fast food a lot. Greasy fast food...

Random thoughts!

Gonna say this is a mixed bag some poli and some pop culture. You were warned Bad women, the ripper retold I briefly brought up in my podcast blog but I want to touch on it and society a bit more here. First off, ALL theories on Jack the Ripper are valid. NO wait that isn't 100% true, some are so out there they aren't HOWEVER researched ones are. Hallie Rubenhold doesn't believe that though and it does make me a bit sad. Honestly her pod is great, she does something that I personally never heard before. Telling us where these victims of Jack came from, humanizing them. That is good work and I applaud her. The issue I take is with her stubbornness as much as "ripperoligists" she doesn't agree with. She has a fresh new look on the Ripper murders and that is great but it does not disprove any old theories.  The murders are over 100 years old. I highly doubt anyone will ever solve them now. The fact is these ladies could have been "sleeping" in dark all...

Mental Health

I have been ranting a lot about politics and pandemics recently and I was going to move on from that BUT I do want to get another serious topics off my chest first. MENTAL HEALTH So before I get into it, I have to give you my history with it. In general I think I am fairly healthy, I have spoken to a psychologist more than once. They have told me more than once I need to express more emotion. One did think I had sociopathic tendencies with my "lack" of empathy. He did decide I wasn't but that had a lot of room to improve. So that's me now. 20ish years ago when I felt like I was losing control of my life things were different. I had dropped out of college and was working minimum wage jobs, getting deeper and deeper in debt borrowing money from my grandmother I was in bad shape. A few times in a few weeks I went to the Royal Alex with chest pains. Bad. I don't go to hospitals, in general I don't call in sick to work. That's just not me. However I legit thou...
