AS A NOTE THIS WAS STARTED A FEW DAYS BEFORE THE ALBERTA PROVINCIAL ELECTION My timeline on twitter seemed a bit less crazy the last few days and I wondered why. So the weather has been shit this year, so far for the summer at least. I complained last year it was too hot. I will take that any day over the wet of this year. I mean my garden is doing okay but it is so wet I really don't wanna go stand in mud and weed. Even though that is what it really needs. I should be out there now since again they call for rain this afternoon, but it has been awhile since I wrote. It messes up the chance to get out and have a fire. Or fish, or golf or even let the dog play. And he needs it! This time inside is making him mental!! So I put one thought out into the air.... Please let the weather get better... Started June off with a holiday! Or a mini one in Calgary. See I have been gone a ton the last few weeks, so it was a nice plan by the wife to get a couple days alone. We left bright and early-ish on Monday morning. I played Red Dead for a bit if I am honest. Starbucks and we were on the go. The fact is highway 2 is a nice drive. Dual lanes, flat and straight so we were in Cowtown in a few hours. I don't know how people did it without GPS. I mean I love looking at maps but as for using them to drive in a big city... I would go nuts. But we got to the zoo with no mishaps.... Anyway I have to say this place kicks ass over Edmonton Zoo. I loved it! Everything is well done. Its clean and has sooooo many good exhibits. I mean yes I think we were there for only 3 hours but one could do a lot more! I gotta say I loved the pandas, bears and wolves. Monkeys not my thing for some reason and the lions never move! It was cool, one tiger was roaming. After that we headed to the hotel. Again...

So Game of Thrones ended. How did ya'll feel about the last season? Rushed, much? Ya me too. It was good, I am not saying it wasn't. What I am saying, why not 10 / 12 episodes?? And why did so many story lines end up meaning nothing! Who Jon really was did nothing. The entire Iron Fleet was pretty well useless and Euron was just a boring character. When they said he was going to make Ramsay look like a pansy I was excited. In the end he was a douche that got killed by a one armed man. The whole Knight King story was boring. Ya Arya killing him was awesome, but for 8 years of build up I just need to say WTF. The golden company, same thing. Complete waste of time. Could have slaughtered Kingslanding without ever mentioning them. BUT even saying that I liked the last season. Sansa had an amazing story and is the Queen in the North. Okay, here it is my review. If you haven't watched and don't want spoilers click away right now! (I wanted this up earlier, bet since it is the biggest film of all time you all have seen it now!) If you have watched or don't give a crap have a read. My take on easily the greatest superhero movie ever and a movie up there with overall just the best movies of any kind anywhere. Ironman and Nebula is a funny scene. Just because both characters are so well played. Nebula's aggression and Tony just playing a game resigned to his fate. Of course Captain Marvel showed up. I think from the trailers alone we all knew Tony was trapped in space and who better to bring him back but her. PAUSE BREAK in review right there. I really need to stop blogging in the AM. It is supposed to be for "real" writing. But I am so bad at editing I have been avoiding doing it like the plague. HOWEVER for really real, I am gonna start, tomorrow... I am so closed to finish, then I need another person to edit. Plus I am insecure about it. The best part of the NHL year is upon us. Let me breakdown the road to the Stanley Cup, or at least as I see it for all ya all! By the way I was right last year! BUT I had been riding on the Caps winning for a decade or so, so there is that fact. But here is Tavis' predictions this years Western Conference Calgary V Colorado - It will be nice to see the flames fans sad when Calgary implodes. I am not certain it will be the first round. They have the momentum and the talent to win this one. A great regular season does not always make a good playoff run. This is the closest series in the playoffs is my guess. Calgary in 6 though. San Jose V Las Vegas - Yes we all remember last year. The Knights shocked the world until the finals. Not this year. If I was to find out hockey was fixed I would cry, it looked like it last year.
