I hate humanity. In general the more I watch the way people behave the more I shake my head. Recently was in a franchise steak house, a new location. This is the McDonalds of steakhouses mind you, we are not in suits, dresses and such but sweat pants. I admit the service was shit. Scroll through my yelp you'll see it. Now as someone who has worked in chain shit shows, I don't think they really trained the staff. She was trying and failing, without knowing the full story I default to lack of training when its a brand new place. A table of two women start complaining. Not quietly like "Hey she isn't getting a decent tip" but leaning over to complain to table beside them. Loud enough all the tables around can hear. Trust me lady we know, we don't need your half drunk loud mouth opinions on it! I went from being annoyed with the service to feeling bad they have to deal with PinoT Grigio mom. By all means when things are shitty let people know, that doesn't mean put on a show.
Neagley was a decent Reacher spin off. It did not keep my attention as much but it was good. The main 4 "good guys" all put on great performances. Jasper Jones as Keno does an amazing job though. I really liked this kids performance and the writing for him was amazing. I can never take Damon Herriman serious after Justified but seeing Dewey Crowe as an actual villain was also really good! Back on the Blacklist, mostly done season 2. Enjoy it but it sucks trying to watch a full series this long! Plus I think I stopped last time as it does get very repetitive.... The more I look back on Xmen97, the more I think it went down hill last season and it was still a great season! It starts so amazing but by the end Nightcrawler dying, the cheesiest defeat of Apocalypse ever was so meh. There is a new Arthurian series on Prime I started. I want to like it, The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin. They call it slow burn. I call it boring. It has great sets, seems like great props and decent actors but slow burn is WAY TOO SLOW. Game of Thrones is slow burn but it hooks you, this one not so much but Ill try again. There is also a show on the Westies I want to watch, or Netflix now has Mobsters documentary. I should start either but I just keep falling into safe old Blacklist. This is Us is a pretty damn good show. I believe it was written by psychologists. Even if you haven't watched it a few episodes in, you are hooked and you actually feel for the characters. I dunno if its the writing or the acting but it is good. Wholesome, something TV lacks these days. Jack is literally the best dad / man ever. I think all the writers said hey here is what would make a perfect male and then just gave him a drinking problem he masters.... Also this will be up before we finish but started Crystal Lake. So far 2 episodes in and LOVE IT! The filming and title cards and such being like the original 80s series is awesome. I am very worried though they are going to ruin it with a science experiment or something stupid.... VisionQuest has been very good. I am going to say it has been a couple years since any MCU show dropped that I gave two shits about but this one is damn good! Also I saw a preview for Rings of Power, can't wait looks like it is actually getting good....
Baseball is lame, deal with it. I keep seeing a debate, when you catch a ball at a ball game should you give it to a kid near by? No. Its yours, you caught it. However is it a foul, Or just a random home run, ya who cares. I get it, okay someone hammers home a world series winner, maybe worth having. If its a rando ball honestly who the fuck cares. I need to dispel a myth I keep seeing online. There was no conspiracy after Woodstock 99 to stop "rock music" So the thought is seeing what "Angry white males" could do when they came together. That it scared the "institution" who or whatever that is. First off no one was scared. It was a stupid little riot. If the "man" wanted it put down, they could have done it a lot faster and more brutal. Someone didn't push young white males towards rap and away from rock to control them or make them weak., music changes!!! First I don't even know how pushing males towards rap makes them weak but I don't own a tinfoil hat so I doubt I will ever understand that statement. Either way with time music changes. Almost every decade you can see changes. Korn lead the Nu-metal angry white boy charge in 1993. Rage Against the Machine had come out in 91! Like 80s hair metal died out when grunge came around, like grunge quickly died and went into angry white boy rock, angry white boy rock became angry white boy rap. First off, it didn't vanish after Woodstock. There was still a ton of angry white boys trying to make music. Pop music did explode and Eminem came around. Lets be honest, he was kind of the king of angry white boys in the early 2000s. I hate to say it but he was right. He gave Dre so many fans and of course the other way as well but all these angry white boys all of a sudden find Dre, Snoop, NWA, 50, Tupac, Biggie, Cube, Wu-Tang and on and on. It wasn't some plot, it was evolution of music. The same thing that has happened time after time. Shit now we have moved to things like country rap.
Xmen has been good again. Uncanny I don't really care about demon Gambit but Howler and the mutant traffickers is awesome. Love Wolvie going full berserker and then Penance just fucking kills the guy! Now we have Gaunt back, she is one of my fav new villains. Xmen mixed with DNX is also great. When they attack 3K you realize even if this team isn't all fan favorites, I would say it is one of the deadliest lineups ever. Plus is Scalphunter joining? BOOM! Oh and is Chairman beast fucked?? I don't see someone torturing a powerless Magneto not being in shit now that Mags is healed and fully powered. 2 things I wanna bring up marvel writers. Stop the Woke, it is Scalphunter and he is badass not John! Also please stop using Jean to save everyone. When Quentin is fighting Cassandra why does it have to go back to Jean. I mean part of me loves when she shows up, like all you bad guys are fucked but stop using that trick! Batman Bad Seeds is okay, not my fav but watching Bats fight through a full police department then him just killing a guy, also awesome.
We are about half way through our ball hockey season. We went 5-2-1 and stayed in the same div. For a bit we were worried it would be normal and we would go up, suck and go out in first round of playoffs. We got to stay for once and literally I think it it the closest we will come to winning. Games are all close, I don't think I am going to break my personal records as was my hope but oh well. Switched up lines a lot. Oh to the team I pointed at after I scored, ya douche move on my part. Felt great though after your smack talk. Slight update I am very close to breaking my own records which makes me very happy, think I can do it but probably jinxed it typing that 2 - 1 in the second half, still pretty sure this is it. The season to win, totally do-able with good playing. Oh fun thing right before I post this!! So I missed the last game, it was bad I guess. A team we shut out and usually handle pretty well beat us. We had guys ejected, would like to know what happened THEN they went online and posted some smack. At first I thought it was just Ya! We won, which would be fine but then to take a couple shots at us RIVALRY IGNITED! We dont get another regular season game against them BUT a very strong chance we get a single elimination playoff game in the first round. Stay tuned for the outcome.

What am I reading? Well more what is audio books reading to me. Stalled out on Oliver Twist but still amazed how clever Dickens was. It will get finished at some point. Besides that finished Relic, the first Pendergast novel. Its true, he doesn't really take over the series until much later on. Listening to Reliquary right now. I think I like these more than the newest books. While I love the new books to, they have gotten very far fetched, these are at the ALMOST possible point. Also while I do enjoy audio books the voicing for these first two books are not great. Still going to listen to Interview with the Vampire again. After watching the series I swear I either have no memory of the books OR they really changed it up for TV or both.
I am going to spend $80 million. I know I have before but here goes again! If I was to win the $80 mill lotto right now! First $50M goes into a high interest savings. I read really rich people don't do this, they use money BUT that's what the other $30M is for!! $50M in a high interest account pays out $1.2M. Even if 40% was taxes that leaves $720,000 a year to live on. I could do that.... That's before any other income. So I got $30M. Take out say $2M for a new home. Nothing massive but high end things I want! Another $200,000 for a new truck for me, likely a new car for my wife and a nice new motorcycle. Its probably wildly over budget but say another $100,000 for a month or so tour and trip over in Europe. Time to relax and really think about shit away from everyone!!! Then a $1M to charity. I don't even have a list but to ones I think are worth while after looking into it and another $1M divided up into a couple scholarships, hopefully the interest keeps them renewing for many years. Another $1M to my charitable organization. I don't know what we do yet but I have the money to set up something good. Hell my wife will take a bunch of that for an animal rescue I am sure. Ill be honest and this is pure vanity but another $1M I should have thought to go in my new home. Furniture, clothes for us, art? IDK some rare comics and fine ass wines! Put another $1M into stock. No $2M like that. Half to real advisor who has real ideas and half is me, buying random things and trying it on my own!!! NOW I know a couple places I would open a couple chain restaurants / coffee shops. For fun say $2M / each, it can range from less that $1M to pushing $3M so say $2M each and 5 shops. $10M. This brings me down to $13,700,000. Quick research says a budget hotel costs $8M to build and a Mid range is $3M to buy. So I have 2 hotels and $2.7M left. I have 6 call them nieces and nephews, they each get $100,000 into a TRAVEL account when they hit 18. Various rules apply, I am not blogging that. SO I have $2.1M left in the bank. Various businesses, all that I want materially. Life is good. Oh that's plus the $50 I did not spend! Oh last thing and I don't know the cost but it can come out of that $50M in the bank. Full service vet hospital! A couple vet ER and hospitals in Edmonton and Calgary are a amazing. A couple I do not like. I am going to open a legit hospital with all the services, down to MRIs. Also an area for inpatients. A place your pet can stay while it recovers, with rehab. Physio, Acupuncture, hydro, anything that works. Like I said I was super impressed with the help my dog got when he needed it and I want to pass that on but also a long term care. We were very lucky my inlaws looked after our dog when we worked and he recovered. I want to provide that for all animals that need it!
I did not think I would be the guy ordering cases of wine and my dog getting acupuncture, yet here we are. That popped into my head when I opened a bottle of wine the other night. I remember pawning CDs at $2 / disc to try and pay rent, no my spoiled dog gets acupuncture.
