Edmonton / Highway of Tears

This was going to be a small paragraph in a bigger random blog but it grew really fast and the fact is I thought it was rather interesting so it will be post of its own. I decided to add some of these womens names. I once heard a pod about Jack the Rippers victims, that humanized them. I think thats what should be done, why glorify freak shows and forget about the people who suffered because of them. Also I added a bit more as I was just going to, just quickly mention Edmonton but I think it is bigger than that. Also still cannot find a legit decent looking charity to donate to for MMIWG.... Msg me if you know one! IS there a serial killer in Edmonton? Or was there one active? On another long drive home I came across podcasts on EPS, which led to pods on what they called the Edmonton - Leduc murders. Which if you have been around Edmonton for awhile I know you have heard of. I just was unaware of the amount and length of time this had been going on. First thing though not all these mur...

July Junk!

I am now in Managerial Skill Development. I finished HR with an 89.5% and it made me realize I have become a "keener" I was actually mad I got .5 less and was thinking why could I not have gotten one more test answer right to bump it to 90%. It is still an A but the roundness of that number sounds much better. If I am honest this newest course is not what I expected, it is very psychology driven. Or so far it has been. Looking internally at our strengths and weakness. Which I do understand is important for a manager just not what I expected. Also it is online BUT we are expected to do a group project. I am nervous about that for 2 reasons. 1) 20 years ago I legit was the guy you didn't want in your group and even though I am doing much better in school now I hope I am still not that guy. On top of that I hope that guy isn't in my group! 2) I don't like my work depending on others. It is the same in the real world at my job. Some things I am okay with BUT big thing...

Upcoming MCU

Let me be honest, phase 4 hasn't really been all that good. The D+ shows are entertaining but none have been mind blowing. Spiderman was good but in all reality it was a fan service show. We got to see old favs and the multiverse was slightly opened up. Dr Strange was good in fact it really sets the stage for "Multiverse Saga" a lot of other movies seem to be filler. Black Widow should have come out earlier. Shang Chi was cool but not amazing. Eternals was honestly kinda boring world building. Did other things come out, I can't remember. Thor I can't say I haven't seen it yet.... But overall nothing was amazing and ya phase 1 MCU wasn't crazy good but Ironman and Cpt America really set the tone and built a universe, none of these movies really do that. I stand by my thought the MCU shot it all in the Infinity Saga. I don't think they foresaw the popularity AND once it took off threw everything out there. Really they didn't need Cpt Marvel, could ha...

Pope & MMIWG

Couple things to lay down here before I go into my short rant. I am not religious, in fact the quote below in my mind almost describes how I feel to a tee. HOWEVER saying that I do believe there is something, a higher power that created the world. Or at least started evolution... Be it the Catholic god, the Muslim god. Odin, Zeus, the Great Spirit. I really don't know. I am not getting into deeper beliefs on religion, gods, fate. Any of those things that could turn into a long tangent I am simply going to talk on the Pope being here. I just want it stated I am not Catholic. I am Metis, I have great uncles who did attend residential schools. I won't pretend I am close with them or even really know them. I have heard their stories through my grandfather though. I have some close friends who also had parents who attend these schools and yes for a part it has affected their lives, I will not deny that. First I want to state a fact, these schools were not a genocide. What the conqu...
