This week I think he might be the smartest self promoter since Eazy E, their ain't no bad publicity. Anyways we get here because of Yelawolf. See I heard Yela's music on Sons of Anarchy and had to go buy a CD. I was hooked and bought them all. Started following him on Instagram and he posted pics with this MGK kid. Of course I listened to a couple of his songs and damn it if I didn't like him too! So I was going to go buy a CD of his (People still buy CDs just FYI) when Eminem dropped a surprise album. Honestly I haven't heard it yet but I hear it is back to what fans expect from him. Not this Revival album. (I get it, the point behind that album but I have to admit it was miss) So MGK gets bumped and I want this new Eminem album, but I was sick all weekend and didn't go buy it. But my twitter timeline explodes. I guess MGK dissed Em. Head spins.... It has been years since anyone has done this. Like him or not Em is pretty much the best "diss" artist of all time. Back in the mid 2000s I loved to download his diss tracks and listen to him slaughter people. And this MGK kid wants to try his luck???? The guy has stones, I will give him that. Then I started to think back, maybe he can do it. Ems best stuff like that was back in his early days. Maybe like Eminem took over from Whitey Ford as the known white rapper MGK can do the same..... But I am reminded Em is a million times more talented. Pretty sure the first Marshal Mathers LP has sold more than MGKs entire career. Had Em not been such an influence during the 2000s I am pretty sure MGK would be the guy pumping gas, but either way the kid is smart. He is trending on twitter right now. I am sure his Rap Devil song is getting hit all over youtube (Weak name BTW) and if Em chooses to come back at him it is only going to promote him more. The fact is reading a bit about him, it sounds like he almost is Em and now just wants to try and fill Ems shoes. Even have a similar history. Smart kid.... I mean I still want his albums, I liked what I heard and now I am willing to bet his sales go up even more. I think it is a weak way to get there.... That would be like Korn or SlipKnot in the 90s shitting on Metallica after they blazed the trail for these bands but hey like I said the kid is smart.
Nike and Colin Kaepernick are making headlines and retards worldwide destroy Nike products. Nike took a gamble that having Kap as the face of Nike would pay off. The reality is so far it hasn't hurt. Sure dumbasses as destroying product they already bought... You realize you have already paid Nike for that right? And they don't care... I will say it again, I am not a huge fan of taking the knee. HOWEVER I support Kaps right to do it. He made a single bigger statement than anyone in decades if you want the truth. Nike is choosing to stick by him and use his face, hey that's great.
